Established in 1901, Upper Montclair Country Club is a member-owned private golf and social club in Clifton, New Jersey, located 12 miles from Midtown Manhattan. The club's 27-hole championship course was designed by A.W. The Montclair Art Museum has occupied its neoclassical landmark on South Mountain Avenue since 1914, when it became New Jersey's first museum dedicated exclusively to art. The building, designed by Albert R. Ross and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, is recognized for its columned portico and beautifully landscaped grounds in Montclair — minutes from New York City. Leir Hall, the museum's principal event space, rises three stories beneath a dramatic skylight, with a large stage and a state-of-the-art audio, visual, and live-stream system.
