Brushy Creek Event Center sits on 53 acres in Farmersville, Texas, where it shares its land with ThrowAway Ponies, a horse rescue nonprofit. Founded in 2016 by Karen Bander and Jaclyn Bander, the venue hosts weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events in a rustic, country setting. The property's main barn spans 3,400 square feet, with a 30-by-60-foot main area that comfortably seats 110 guests for dinner, dancing, and a DJ setup, and holds up to 150 guests at max occupancy. The adjoining "Saloon" bar area opens onto both the outdoor patio and the indoor main space, with wine glasses available for rent, two mini fridges, and ample counter space. A groom's room and a full kitchen with two refrigerators, a dishwasher, and an oven round out the barn's amenities, with dishware and kitchenware also available for rent. Outdoors, couples can hold a ceremony overlooking the property's pond and tree line before moving the reception inside. A wedding arch, a fire pit, and a private cabin with its own bathroom are also available, the latter offering a quiet space for the bride to get ready or for the couple to stay overnight. Because it opened its doors in 1993, the CR Smith Museum has provided a vibrant learning environment in which exhibitions and educational activities excite and engage visitors of all ages. The Palace Arts Center brings together two historic theaters in the heart of Grapevine's Historic Main Street District, just minutes from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The Palace Theatre, an Art Deco-style building from the 1940s, was saved from demolition in 1991 when the Grapevine Heritage Foundation acquired it, and today seats 432 guests across its main floor and balcony. The Lancaster Theatre, once home to the 1930s Buckner Cash Grocery and Dry Goods store, has been restored and now hosts smaller gatherings, from meetings and luncheons to receptions and dinner theater. Together the two venues offer more than 15,000 square feet of rental space for weddings, receptions, and corporate gatherings, each with a distinctive vintage flair.
