Brutocao Schoolhouse Plaza sits on seven acres along Highway 101 in the heart of downtown Hopland, Mendocino County. The property occupies the site of the original Hopland High School, a building that served the community from 1922 to 1963 before the Brutocao family restored it in 1998 with a focus on historical preservation. Today it operates as the event home of Brutocao Family Vineyards, a four-generation winemaking operation that has farmed Mendocino County land since 1943. The estate offers four distinct event venues spanning indoor and outdoor settings. The Bliss Room is the primary indoor space, accommodating up to 200 seated guests for receptions, corporate events, and private celebrations, and features a built-in bar, catering kitchen, and dedicated dance floor. The historic Schoolhouse Plaza Indoor Venues include the Lions Den and Restaurant and Bar, suited to smaller gatherings of 30 to 80 guests. Outdoors, the Schoolhouse Plaza grounds offer a private patio, wedding chapel lawn, BBQ area, and six regulation bocce ball courts. Contento Vineyard, acquired by the family in 1997, provides a hilltop ceremony and reception setting with panoramic valley views among estate vines. Estate-grown wines are available across all venues. Outside caterers and vendors are welcome, and indoor backup options are available for outdoor events. The property is located approximately two hours from San Francisco and one hour from Santa Rosa.

Red Barn Ranch Events is a wedding and event center set on 100 private acres in Hopland, Mendocino County — in the heart of Northern California wine country. The property sits along Mountain House Road, where rolling hills, scenic vineyard views, manicured lawns, and a running creek create a naturally photogenic backdrop for outdoor celebrations. Guests can also access the Russian River, the Great Redwood Trail, a private bass pond, and miles of hiking trails through the surrounding hills. The venue dedicates five acres to reception areas, accommodating gatherings of up to 300 guests across two ceremony lawns with built-in arbors and a 4,000-square-foot year-round shade structure. A historic red barn with warm stove, antique side bars, and soft lighting seats up to 75 guests for more intimate indoor events. The property spans sustainable vineyards, Bartlett pear orchards, olive gardens, a redwood grove, and a century-old barn — a richly varied landscape that forms the backdrop for weddings and private events alongside its working winery. The property takes its name from the grandfathers of founder Ken Wilson — Jack Wilson and Cecil Keys — and reflects the personal character that shapes everything from the wines to the on-site experience. At the heart of the estate stands an 1880s Farmhouse Tasting Room, featuring an antique bar and a covered veranda overlooking the vineyards. The estate produces a wide range of wines, including white varietals, red blends, Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Primitivo, alongside Alambic brandies crafted in a copper pot still built from a 15th-century design.
