    The Aeneas Building

405 E College St, Jackson, TN 38301, USA
    • Spaces for 160 Guests

The Aeneas Building is a wedding and events venue in downtown Jackson, Tennessee, set inside a restored 1916 structure originally built as the sanctuary for Jackson's First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The building was enlarged in 1966, fell into disuse in 1998, and was restored beginning in 2003, a renovation that kept the historic architecture intact while adding modern conveniences for events. The venue offers roughly 2,900 square feet of indoor space plus an outdoor courtyard and garden, accommodating up to 216 guests. Wood floors, high ceilings, and tall windows give the ballroom its character and abundant natural light, while the adjoining garden — originally planted in 1920 with flowers brought from church members' homes and later restored along with the building — provides a quieter, outdoor setting for ceremonies or photos. The venue hosts weddings, reunions, luncheons, corporate events, and styled photo sessions. Every booking includes use of the PA sound system, high-speed internet, the caterer's facility, the garden area, free guest parking, and setup and teardown of the in-house tables and chairs. Outside vendors are welcome, and the caterer's kitchen includes food warmers, a 500-pound ice machine, and an industrial refrigerator.

Crown Winery sits on a hill outside Humboldt, Tennessee, where an 18-acre vineyard of nine grape varieties -- including five acres of Sangiovese, a varietal native to Tuscany -- stretches out around a Tuscan-style villa. The winery opened in 2009 and has been owned by Dawn and Scott Fallert since 2017, who have expanded it into a working vineyard, winemaking facility, and on-site brewery producing small-batch craft beer alongside handcrafted, brick-oven pizza. Outdoor weddings at Crown Winery take place framed by the vineyard scenery, with indoor space available as a rain backup so the celebration can go on regardless of weather. The winery also hosts private events such as birthday parties, receptions, anniversaries, and bridal and baby showers, offering a variety of spaces, accommodating staff, and a picturesque backdrop. Wedding and event packages are tailored to each couple's plans and budget, with amenities including local beer and wine service, attentive staff, and private tours for guests. Beyond events, Crown Winery welcomes visitors for guided tours of its winemaking area, bottling room, and vineyard, tastings paired with food, and recurring gatherings like Friday night "Wine Down" evenings with live music and monthly "Create at Crown" workshops. Overnight guests can also stay in the property's on-site cottages at the base of the vineyard.

Chickasaw State Park spans 1,435 acres of pine-hardwood forest in West Tennessee, built during the 1930s as one of the state's original New Deal-era parks. The Civilian Conservation Corps and Works Progress Administration developed the land, and the park takes its name from the Chickasaw Nation that once inhabited the region. Two lakes, Lake Placid and Lake LaJoie, anchor the park's recreation areas, and thirteen historic WPA cabins near Lake Placid remain in use today. For events, the park's centerpiece is the Sagamore Lodge, a stone-and-brick WPA-era building with two stone fireplaces and 1,446 square feet of space that seats up to 100 guests for weddings, family reunions, and meetings. Groups may bring in their own food, and the lodge is available year-round with central heat and air. The Group Lodge accommodates up to 36 people overnight in bunk-bed quarters with a kitchen and dining area that doubles as a meeting space, suited to retreats and organized outings.
