The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception stands as Atlanta's most historic church, originally built in 1848 to serve workers constructing the railroad that gave the city its name. This studio was created about that time. That was over a century ago. Prior to the sinking of the Titanic. Before the First World War. Of course, they had no idea it was going to be a studio when they built it. They believed they'd constructed a plant that would turn raw cotton into fire-resistant garments. And they did so for a total of 84 years. After that, there were a few years of hand-wringing, followed by a few years of neglect and abandonment. They finally handed it up to Jason Ivany in 2007. Just before the 100th anniversary, he got it back on track and transformed it into the daylight studio it was always meant to be.

The Wheeler House is a historic wedding venue set on a restored 1906 property in Ball Ground, Georgia. The original home — built by a local lumber yard owner using heart pine flooring and wraparound porches — was purchased and fully renovated before reopening as a wedding venue in 2011. A climate-controlled barn was added in 2012, its exterior clad in reclaimed lumber salvaged from the old Panama City pier and airport runway, giving the space a distinctly storied character. The venue accommodates events from intimate micro-weddings to celebrations of up to 300 guests. The 3,600-square-foot barn serves as the primary ceremony or reception space, while a draped outdoor arbor hung with chandeliers and string lights offers an open-air ceremony option. The historic house provides a bridal suite with an original claw-foot tub, a groom's suite, and a billiards room. Onsite cottage accommodations are available for overnight guests.
