Novellas is a family-owned, all-inclusive wedding and event venue in New Paltz, New York, situated just off the New York State Thruway between New York City and Albany. The venue hosts weddings, mitzvahs, sweet sixteens, corporate events, quinceaneras, and fundraisers for groups accommodating up to 250 guests. The grand ballroom seats up to 250 guests, while an outdoor bluestone patio hosts ceremonies for up to 150 seated guests. Novellas hosts one event per day, giving clients exclusive use of the full property — including two outdoor patio areas, a foyer for cocktail hour, a terrace with a waterfall feature, and after-party patios with bistro lighting. Red Maple Vineyard is a family-owned farm and vineyard event venue on 143 acres along the Hudson River in West Park, New York. Once a dairy farm, the property was developed into a wedding destination by Gary and Liz Stone — founders of Corner Stone Caterers, a gourmet catering company they established in 1992 after meeting at the Culinary Institute of America. Their daughter Shae is part of the team today. The grounds include a renovated 1800s cow barn, a reception pavilion, stone foundation ruins, walking trails, vineyards, orchards, and a great lawn, offering multiple distinct settings for ceremonies and receptions. The Barn features a grand piano, a bridal suite, and bar and lounge areas. All catering and event planning is handled in-house through Corner Stone Caterers. The Barn & Greenhouse Our 3,000-square-foot greenhouse can comfortably accommodate upwards of 200 guests seated banquet style. The greenhouse is structurally tied into an adjoining 2,000-square-foot barn, which serves as a multi-use event space with a bar and five bathrooms, as well as the lobby for The Greenhouses hotel—with white walls, modern sconces, and wood floors. Behind the greenhouse, an open-air, walled patio is an additional space for wedding proceedings—ceremony, cocktail hour, what have you. The Belvedere Estate, situated on more than 25 acres in Westchester County, is a one-of-a-kind property. The estate consists of a large house and many smaller structures scattered over the grounds, all of which include excellent historical elements from the 1920s. A wooded region and cliff with views of the broad Hudson River and the Tappan Zee Bridge provide a range of lovely and peaceful vistas. The Belvedere was once part of Philipsburg Manor, a 90,000-acre property and one of America's richest landholdings, and was built in the 1910s. Dr. Philip Gillette Cole bought it in 1928 and renamed it Zeeview. It was built by Florence and Casper Whitney and purchased by Dr. Philip Gillette Cole in 1928. The home at Zeeview looked out over the huge Hudson River and the "Tappan Zee" with ease. The Coles erected the Agora House and the Studio on the land and displayed their significant collection of American Western art, which was ultimately moved to the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The estate was purchased by Samuel Bronfman of the Seagrams Whiskey dynasty after Cole's death. After the Bronfmans' primary mansion in Toronto, the property was christened Belvedere. Belvedere became the headquarters of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification in 1972. Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. is located in Westchester County, New York, only a short drive north of New York City, and is the region's largest craft brewery, producing more than 28,000 barrels of beer per year. Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, founded in 2006 by Scott Vaccaro, produces a diverse range of beer genres, creating as many as one hundred different brands in a single year. Within a few years of launching, the brewery began to achieve significant recognition for their sour and barrel-aged beers, and in 2007 they received their first of nine GABF gold.
