Urban Light Studios has recently merged our event space with our downtown Seattle venue, AXIS Pioneer Square. Urban Light Studios team of talented photographers remain available to you for all your photography needs. We are no longer accepting events at our Greenwood studios. With great pride, AXIS has preserved 10,000 square feet of space within the historic 1889 Globe Building as Seattle’s most exciting event space. We provide two separate but joinable spaces allowing an event capacity of 25-400+, depending on desired layout. AXIS is centered on a series of 18-foot brick arches blending seamlessly into antique wood floors, with a sprinkle of industrial modern design. Her inaugural journey, as a member of the Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet, took place on June 11, 1922, and she arrived in Seattle on June 14, 1922. The Mosquito Fleet was the world's first regional ferry system, linking coastal communities around South Puget Sound in the early twentieth century. It was through steamship that people were carried between the burgeoning port cities of Seattle and Tacoma, as well as produce and cattle from farms on Vashon Island. In the years 1922 to 1938, the VIRGINIA V served as the principal line between Seattle and Tacoma, operating via the West Pass (also known as "Colvos Passage"), which ran between Vashon Island and the Kitsap Peninsula. INFORMATION ABOUT US L'Oursin is a French restaurant and bar in Seattle's Capitol Hill/Central District that also has a small food and wine market. Dinner is served from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Our market is open from 3:30pm to 9:00pm on Tuesdays through Sundays. In the market, you'll find a carefully curated assortment of fine cheeses, meats, and other speciality goods, as well as a large selection of natural wines, also known as vins naturels in French. Please keep in mind that proof of double vaccination (a card or a photo would suffice) and matching identification are required in order to dine with us. Anyone who is not seated at a table is still obligated to wear a mask. Our corkage price for outside wine is $30 per bottle ($45 for magnums), with a two-bottle restriction per table for each bottle brought in. The event space is available for rent to the public and to Members, and includes a full kitchen with a buffet serving counter, commercial refrigerator and freezer and sink, stove, oven, dishwasher and commercial coffee maker. Round and rectangle tables are available for use as well as folding chairs; however dishes, glassware and linens are not provided. The Clubhouse has ample parking and is wheelchair-accessible with ramps to the building entrance and an elevator. In accordance with City of Bellevue noise ordinances, the Club and Bellevue Police enforce a 10:00 PM ending time for all music on weeknights and 11:00 PM on weekends.

From the upper part of the park, you can walk down the steep, ivied hill - passing azaleas, rhododendrons, and more surprise views - to a patch of grass with a play area for kids and a pergola for parents.
