Hanson's Shoe Repair is a speakeasy event venue housed in The Hanson Building at 27 East Pine Street in downtown Orlando, Florida — believed to be the oldest building still standing in the city's downtown core. The building dates to 1883–1884 and traces its name to Andrew Hanson, whose shoe repair shop, established here in 1894, once featured Orlando's first electric sign. The rooftop venue accommodates private events for groups of 10 to 45 guests, pairing the building's century-old character with an intimate, speakeasy atmosphere. Its historic brick walls and antique surroundings make it a distinctive setting for cocktail parties, small celebrations, and private gatherings.

CityArts Factory is a multi-use arts and cultural destination in the heart of downtown Orlando, occupying the historic Dr. Phillips Theatre building at 29 South Orange Avenue. Originally constructed in 1916, the building was renovated in 2006 into a contemporary arts facility that serves as downtown's largest collective of art galleries. The venue houses five separate art galleries alongside a classroom, an artist's studio, and an 8,000-square-foot events and performance space. Exhibitions rotate monthly, featuring a mix of local community and international works spanning paintings, prints, sculptures, and drawings. Monthly opening receptions are held on the third Thursday of each month. For private gatherings and corporate functions, CityArts Factory accommodates up to 200 guests, offering a distinctive backdrop of rotating artwork within a storied downtown building. The venue is operated by the Downtown Arts District, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing visual and performing arts in Central Florida.

  • Bauhaus

27 E Pine St, Orlando, FL 32801, USA
    • Spaces for 50 Guests

Bauhaus is a craft cocktail bar occupying the lower level of the historic Hanson Building in downtown Orlando, one of the oldest structures in the city. Named in tribute to the Bauhaus design movement, which merged artistry with industrial aesthetics in the early twentieth century, the bar has preserved the original architecture and character of the building rather than renovating around it. The narrow, intimate space draws on the design principles it is named for — low lighting, original materials, and a focus on craft — with cocktails made from fresh ingredients prepared in-house. The venue connects to Hanson's Shoe Repair, a password-entry speakeasy on the upper floor of the same building, making the combined property a distinctive destination in downtown Orlando for private events and evening gatherings. The events team can be reached directly to discuss bookings.
