In the heart of Los Angeles’ Downtown Arts District, kodō offers more than a restaurant or hotel—it is a sanctuary for food, design, and connection. Housed in the historic Engine Company 17 firehouse, the century-old building has been reimagined by architect Matthew Royce with Gry Space, blending modern elegance with historic charm. The name “kodō,” meaning heartbeat in Japanese, reflects vitality, rhythm, and cultural fusion. Every element—raw steel, boulders, gravel, and ash wood—creates a serene backdrop where guests can reset, recharge, and celebrate. Distinct Spaces for Every Occasion kodō is home to five unique dining and gathering spaces, each with its own energy. Outdoor Patio The sunlit patio features booth seating surrounded by natural light, perfect for cocktails, dinners, or daytime events. Its relaxed ambiance invites guests to enjoy the outdoors in an urban oasis. Lobby Café Minimalist seating, earthy plaster hues, and tatami benches create a tranquil escape inside the lobby café. Opening onto Santa Fe Avenue through restored firehouse doors, it blends the street’s vibrancy with a Kyoto-inspired calm, ideal for casual gatherings or coffee meetings. Private Dining Room This moody, rustic space centers around a 16-foot live-edge pine table with benches that seat up to 20. A greenhouse-like setting, it doubles as a gallery for art or ceramics, making it a flexible space for intimate dinners, collaborations, and curated experiences. Firepit A dark, cozy retreat with exposed concrete walls and vaulted ceilings, the firepit is ideal for smaller celebrations, birthdays, or photoshoots. In cooler months, heaters extend the warmth, creating a space that feels both intimate and atmospheric. Indoor Dining Room With textured gray and brick walls and booth seating, the indoor dining room balances casual comfort with sophistication. It is a versatile setting for events, business dinners, or productions, serving as the core stage for kodō’s culinary journey.

A unique gallery and studio space with a combination of exposed original brick walls and clean white walls, both natural and controlled light available. Ideal for both pop up shops/events, photography and film shoots and gallery presentations. It comes with a small kitchen unit, two bathrooms and an enclosed room at the back, ideal for hair and make-up and general storage. As it is a one-level space, trucks can load-in at the commercial loading zone outside the gallery or around the corner on S Santa Fe x Violet Street. Loading-in is made easy as it is a one-level with a shutter and two door entrances.

It includes plenty of natural light, neutral decor for easy customization, and essential amenities like seating and audio/visual capabilities. Housed in the historic Commercial Exchange building in Downtown Los Angeles, once home to the publishing offices of Tarzan author, Edgar Rice Burroughs. Inside, a jungle-like lobby is peppered with potted cacti and a menagerie of ornamental wooden creatures alongside an Aztec-style bar. Freehand Los Angeles offers a variety of unique spaces that you won’t find anywhere else in the city. The Exchange restaurant's eclectic menus reflect the flavors of multicultural California cuisine through an Israeli lens, Rudolph's Bar & Tea offers unique tea infused cocktails, and our rooftop pool deck with city views is home to our favorite bar, Broken Shaker. Ongoing collaborations with local artists and musicians create engaging events and activities for hotel guests and locals.

Restaurant with a curated Californian theme and contemporary Italian influences, led by Chef Vartan Abgaryan. Canon Drive is the address, and it's right in the middle of Beverly Hills. Canon Drive serves as the address for Tommy's Beverly Hills, which can be found smack dab in the middle of Beverly Hills. The menu, which was curated by Chef Vartan Abgaryan, was influenced by both contemporary Italian cuisine and California cuisine. It is strongly recommended that you make a reservation as there is very little to no capacity for walk-in customers. Marble tables are arranged in an al fresco layout at the new cafe located on the lower level of Tommy's Beverly Hills. The porticos are tiled and stretch for quite some distance. There are seats available beneath tan arches and wrapping vines, less than half a block away from well-known establishments such as Spago and the Palm, and directly across the garden from the posh hotel and restaurant known as the Maybourne.

The Spanish Estate is a spanish style home located in Walnut Acres area of Woodland Hills, California. The estate is set on an acre property which features a large backyard, a modern pool, and a long curved driveway. Available for filming, photography / photoshoots, commercials, and private events of up to 150 guests. Property includes a rustic barn and chicken coop. Surrounding gardens filled with lavender, olive, and citrus trees. Featured in Brides Magazine.

SmogShoppe, a former smog-check facility from the 1980s, is now a 6,500 square foot indoor/outdoor event space powered entirely by solar energy and a paradise for desert plants, vertical gardens, and sophisticated vintage furnishings. Live concerts, private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, and productions can all be held in the combined indoor and external areas. The floor plan of the venue can accommodate 250 people for live events and cocktail parties, 150 people for garden performances and ceremonies, and 150 people for formal sit-down dinners. SmogShoppe is conveniently located in the middle of the Culver City art/design district, just minutes from Santa Monica, LAX, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Downtown Los Angeles, and is easily accessible from the 10 highway. The vast courtyard area of SmogShoppe is a calm break and a pleasant surprise for visitors. It's a green paradise in the heart of Los Angeles, encircled by garden walls that cover nearly 2,000 square feet. The Grand Hall features 15-foot ceilings and 18-foot glass rollup doors. The SmogShoppe in Los Angeles boasts a 20-foot digital cinema screen, as well as a mixing board, sound system, and lighting equipment that are excellent for live performances, film screenings, wrap parties, DJs, and VJs. Crow’s Nest is a private dressing room with a panoramic view of the city. The ideal retreat for musicians, weddings, grooms, VIPs, and hosts. SmogShoppe is one of Los Angeles' and the United States' most environmentally friendly urban locations. The room meets or exceeds virtually all of the requirements for LEED Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council in nearly every category. By repurposing almost 80% of the existing structure, the impact of demolition and construction was reduced. 90% of the building materials were either Green certified or upcycled and/or locally made. From the demolition, salvaged metal and wood were scrapped and used to build the furniture.

City Market South breathes new life into the oldest wholesale produce market in Los Angeles, bringing world-class dining and cocktails, one-of-a-kind retail and Class-A creative office space to distinct buildings that all surround an open central plaza. City Market South is 75,000 SF of vintage, brick and bow truss warehouses and open plan concrete structures on 2.5 acres at the southern end of the original City Market wholesale produce center. The City Market of Los Angeles was founded in 1909 as a cooperative of farmers seeking a central distribution center in Los Angeles. These same founding families maintain ownership and control of the company to this day.
