Laurel Park Racecourse has served as Maryland's premier Thoroughbred racing destination since the Maryland Jockey Club — the nation's oldest sporting organization, founded in 1743 — began racing operations at the site. Make a reservation at The Chapel. Memorial Chapel is open to anybody, regardless of their affiliation with the University, and anyone can book a space there. The Memorial Chapel is an excellent venue for a variety of events such as concerts, seminars, meetings, convocations, graduations, and everything in between. Spaces Available for Rent Memorial Chapel has four rentable spaces available for use: Main Chapel The Main Chapel, which has a white interior with burgundy accents, can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. A total of four sets of pews are available on the ground level, in addition to balcony seats on three sides. The Moller Pipe Organ, as well as a Baldwin grand piano, may be seen in the Main Chapel of the University. You can choose from a variety of altar pieces (in both metal and wood), as well as a lectern, microphones, and a large number of tables and chairs. Garden Chapel With red brick walls and rustic wood beams, this is a charming site. The Garden Chapel is surrounded on all sides by a lovely Garden of Reflection and Remembrance, which can be seen through the enormous arched windows in the chapel. The venue has a maximum capacity of 100 people, with around 90 people seated comfortably. The Garden Chapel is outfitted with a Disklavier grand piano that includes a variety of musical possibilities built in. We have an assortment of altarpieces (both metal and wood) for you to pick from, in addition to a lectern and a number of different tables. There is no need for a sound system in this location, but it is available upon request. Lounge A comfortable, informal environment with seats and sofas that can accommodate roughly 25 people, with stacking chairs that can accommodate a maximum of 30 individuals. This venue is ideal for a casual gathering or get-together. In the Lounge, you are permitted to consume food and beverages. Conferencing Space There is seating for 18 individuals in this formal conference room. It is equipped with a flat-screen television, laptop HDMI connection cables, and wireless internet. During departmental board or committee meetings, as well as for reporting or presenting, the Conference Room provides a formal setting for discussion.

Our facility is in Beltsville, MD and can accommodate up to 70 guests. The venue has a kitchenette containing a refrigerator/freezer, a chest freezer, 10 tray food warmer, sink and full size ice machine. There are separate restrooms for men and women and the walls are lined with White draping.

Snow Hill Manor is a 2½-story brick plantation house of late-Georgian style set on 17 acres in Laurel, Maryland, overlooking the Patuxent River. Built in the 18th century and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974, the manor offers a secluded, private setting that lends itself to intimate gatherings and special celebrations. Inside, six large rooms are lined with warm hardwoods and soaring ceilings, providing elegant surroundings for weddings and receptions, corporate retreats, holiday parties, and workshops. A large tented brick patio and expansive lawns extend the event space outdoors, accommodating up to 120 guests across the property. The venue includes a warming kitchen for catering use, dressing rooms for the wedding party, ample free parking, wireless connectivity, and a portable projector and screen — all available year-round.

Montpelier Mansion is an 18th-century Georgian Colonial estate and National Historic Landmark located on approximately 70 acres of parkland in Laurel, Maryland. Built between the 1780s, the property is surrounded by lush evergreens and 200-year-old boxwoods, with formal gardens that have been carefully preserved alongside the mansion's original architecture. The mansion features two wings fitted with chandeliers, cathedral ceilings, and crown molding, making the spaces well suited to intimate gatherings, ceremonies, and receptions. The smaller wing accommodates up to 40 guests and the larger up to 85. Event rentals include seven hours of event time and come equipped with a warming kitchen, audio-visual equipment, and wireless internet. Free parking is available on-site, and the property is partially wheelchair accessible. Beyond its rental spaces, the site preserves the histories of the Snowden family and the 169 enslaved people who lived there, including its rare 18th-century summer house — one of only two on their original foundations in the region. The mansion sits equidistant between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, making it a distinctive historic setting for weddings, receptions, and private gatherings in the Maryland suburbs.
