The Heritage Society at Sam Houston Park preserves ten historic structures on a landscaped campus in downtown Houston, spanning architecture from the pre-statehood era through the early twentieth-century oil boom. A 501(c)(3) museum organization dedicated to telling the diverse history of Houston and Texas, the campus also serves as a setting for weddings, receptions, and private events. Rental spaces range from the Gothic Revival-style 1891 St. John Church to open-air settings like Connally Plaza and the Bagby Street Front Patio, both backed by downtown Houston's skyline. The 1847 Kellum-Noble House, the oldest building on its original foundation in the city, hosts smaller dinners and receptions, while the Museum Gallery and Tea Room offer indoor space for larger gatherings.

In our small dining room, we can accommodate up to 25 people in a reception style setting or 18 people sitting down. The Shula's Narrative Shula's Steak House, which opened its doors in 1989, had only one goal in mind: to honor the memory of Coach Don Shula, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. Houston Aquarium's 6,000-square-foot Nautilus Ballroom boasts customizable menus, experienced event coordinators on staff to assist with décor, A/V, and entertainment, as well as breathtaking views of the downtown Houston skyline. Downtown Houston Aquarium's Nautilus Ballroom has a private wrap-around balcony, and a beautiful cylindrical aquarium tank in the foyer. Uchi Houston made its debut in 2012 in the space that formerly housed the iconic Felix restaurant on Westheimer, bringing its signature level of quality and service to an urban setting for the first time. Items on the menu were selected from Uchi and Uchiko in Austin, as well as signature seasonal dishes that were developed by Chef de Cuisine Shaun King. The restaurant successfully combines cutting-edge culinary technique with an approachable atmosphere. Tyson Cole, winner of the James Beard Award for Best Chef in the United States and owner of the restaurant that bears his name, is a dedicated student of the Japanese culinary culture. After studying sushi for more than ten years in Tokyo, New York, and Austin under two distinct sushi masters, he now spends each day at the restaurants that are part of the Hai Hospitality family continuing his path of study and experimenting with new techniques.

Aaron Bludorn, the chef, has his roots in the Gulf area and serves New American cuisine that is inspired by French cuisine with love and honesty. Dishes, wines from around the world, and drinks made from scratch are on offer at this neighborhood institution, which has menus that change with the seasons. We aim to provide an amazing dining experience for our guests by preparing delectable dishes using only the finest ingredients and by paying close attention to detail while also extending a kind greeting. River Oaks Garden Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, was founded in 1927 and has made numerous contributions to the Houston community in the areas of conservation, horticulture, and civic beautification. River Oaks Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of America. The proceeds from the Azalea Trail are used to support the following ongoing projects: Louise Stevenson, a founding member of the River Oaks Garden Club, was the driving force behind the organization's inception. She persuaded her next-door neighbor, Hennie Cottingham, to join her in forming some sort of civic beautification organization to address the critical need for civic beautification in the River Oaks neighborhood. When the Garden Club's first official meeting was held on October 27, 1927, it was attended by 29 members, and it marked the beginning of a thriving and growing organization that was eventually admitted into the Garden Club of America in 1938. The members of the club quickly gained knowledge in the areas of gardening, garden design, horticulture, and flower arranging, among other things. They used their newfound knowledge to encourage others to get involved in improving the planted environment in Houston. There are no commercial, political, or fundraising purposes permitted on the Forum. Teen parties are also prohibited on the Forum. The maximum number of people who can fit into the space is 175. HPD security will be provided, and all functions must be completed and the building cleaned and vacated by midnight on the day of the rental agreement. The building manager must approve any outside catering, and all rental equipment must be picked up after the event unless otherwise agreed upon with the building manager.

Long before anything else was erected, he and his bride were married beneath one of the gorgeous oak trees. The delight they felt as they saw their loved ones enjoy such a beautiful day transformed the hunting lodge into an event space. The Oaks at Oak Plantation was founded in 2016, and their goal became a reality in Spring 2019. We treat our visitors like family when they come to The Oaks at Oak Plantation.
