  Like New Orleans, NOLA Spaces has deep roots. This space has been re-imagined many times throughout its life. Originally a firehouse, our space has served as an auto repair shop, residential housing, and even a recording studio for local pianist Eddie Bo. The building was purchased in 2010 and lovingly reconstructed with as many original elements as possible. As you walk through the space, you’ll see a shiplap motif which uses wood original to the building, the old firehouse doors which were brought inside and refinished, and even a pole in our lobby, as a nod to the building’s original purpose. NOLA Spaces is the ideal location for holding a photographic session, a one-time or ongoing workshop, or a rehearsal or rehearsal rehearsal! Sprung wood flooring, mirrors, a sound system, central A/C and heat, and complimentary Wi-Fi are all included in each room. Each accommodation also includes a variety of conveniences to meet your unique requirements, such as: THE ROOM WITH THE FIREHOUSE: (STUDIO 4) With over 1,600 square feet, the Firehouse Room is the largest room in our campus. Micaela Almonester, the Baroness de Pontalba, was born in New Orleans in 1795 to aristocratic families of French-Creole and Spanish descent. She inherited her father's fortune when she was a little child, as he was the only living heir. Her father, Andrés Almonester y Rojas, had been a prominent donor to the city of New Orleans through his humanitarian efforts. She was arranged to marry Joseph-Xavier Célestin Delfau de Pontalba, and the couple finally settled in Paris, where she lived for the majority of her life after their marriage. Her husband and father-in-law re-established power over her and her estate by coercive means. Her father-in-law, driven by an insatiable desire for Micaela's money, attempted to murder her several years after the initial attempt. While she survived with injuries to her hand and breast, she also attempted to legally separate herself from her husband, despite the fact that they were never actually divorced. During your stay, you will have exclusive use of the main house and grounds, and the fee will cover standard cleaning, taxes, and service fees - as well as vendor load in and load out, as well as use of our Bose professional-grade sound system.   It all started here. Antoine’s Restaurant is still owned and operated by fifth generation relatives of the original founder, Antoine Alciatore. The world-renowned French-Creole cuisine, impeccable service, and unique atmosphere have combined to create an unmatched dining experience in New Orleans since 1840. With a capacity of over 700 people, our luxurious private rooms can accommodate groups of 14 to 300 people. Both the first and second floors of the hotel are home to Antoine's Private Rooms. There are balconies on some of the second-floor dining rooms with views of St Louis Street. A stairwell and an elevator provide access to all second-floor rooms.
