You've agreed! You've found your gals, and now it's time to start making plans for your #happilyeverafter. We constructed our first home on our farm, which had been in my husband's family for many years, thirty years ago. My husband's father died when he was eight years old, and he aspired to follow in his father's footsteps. We raised two of our three children on this farm, where we were able to provide them the independence and tranquility that comes with living in the country. Where the sunsets are awe-inspiring and the tranquility is unparalleled. That's when I started toying with the notion of a wedding venue, something I'd been thinking about for years. We still had one child in school, so we were kept extremely busy with farming and school activities, but suddenly our youngest son graduated, and we became empty nesters. That's when I realized what I was going to do. We spoke with contractors, landscapers, and concrete firms. We drew my fantasy on paper, and it came true; our venue was up and running. It was time to open our doors as we watched it grow and eventually be completed. Since opening Twin Lakes in March 2018, we've met a lot of amazing couples and their families who have become part of our family. “What's your date?” is the first question on everyone's mind. And to that end, you're looking for the perfect wedding venue in Lubbock, TX. You have a clear idea of what you desire. Stunning photo opportunities, a swoon-worthy ceremony area, an indoor/outdoor reception venue because, hey, it's Texas, on-trend décor options included, and enough of time on site to relax and enjoy with friends and family. Well, you're in luck because you've just discovered everything you need and more, and you won't have to spend a fortune to acquire it. So cuddle up with your fiancé and get ready to plunge in. You'll find transparent flat rate pricing, available dates to say "I do," answers to your burning questions, and much more here.

Silent Wings Museum sits on the former South Plains Army Air Field in Lubbock, Texas, one of the primary training grounds for glider pilots during World War II. After debuting in Terrell, Texas, in 1984, the museum relocated to Lubbock and reopened at its current site in October 2002. At the center of the collection is a fully restored WACO CG-4A glider, discovered decades after the war doing duty as signage atop a Fresno, California tire shop before being returned to its original condition. Permanent and rotating exhibits explore the training, strategic role, and combat experiences of WWII glider pilots. Beyond its exhibits, the museum hosts commemorative programs such as D-Day Commemoration weekend, Spirit of '45 Day, and a Veterans Day observance with a Big Band performance, and its facility is available for private rental for receptions, business meetings, and other celebrations.
