The University Area Community Center is a 50,000-square-foot multi-purpose complex in Tampa, Florida, near the University of South Florida. Carrollwood Country Club is a private country club set on a championship 27-hole golf course in Tampa's Carrollwood Village. Originally established in 1972 and comprehensively redeveloped in 2005, the club's 25,000-square-foot clubhouse provides a polished, resort-style setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations of all kinds. The crown jewel of the event facilities is the Grand Ballroom — a 6,000-square-foot room with 19-foot ceilings, 12 classical chandeliers, and sweeping views of the golf course. It accommodates up to 250 guests for dinner and 300 for a reception. Carrollwood Cultural Center is a community arts venue in Tampa, Florida, housed in a renovated historic church that opened in March 2008 through a partnership between Hillsborough County and the Friends of Carrollwood Cultural Center, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching community life through arts and culture. The 26,000-square-foot main building sits in the heart of Carrollwood Village and features a stage, dance floor, art studios, computer lab, conference rooms, vaulted ceilings, an open lobby, and a caterer's kitchen. A sister building, The Studio, adds 4,400 square feet of additional space for classes, performances, and private room rentals. The David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts is one of the largest performing arts complexes in the country, spanning 335,000 square feet on a nine-acre campus along the east bank of the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa. Originally opened in 1987 as the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and renamed in 2009 to honor philanthropist David A. Straz Jr., the complex hosts more than 1,500 events and 600,000 patrons in a typical season. The campus comprises five individual theaters available for rental — Carol Morsani Hall (2,610 seats), Ferguson Hall (1,042 seats), the Jaeb Theater (312 seats), the TECO Energy Foundation Theater (250 seats), and the Shimberg Playhouse (130 seats) — as well as a performing arts conservatory and rehearsal hall. Theater spaces accommodate performance-centered events including concerts, lectures, meetings, recitals, plays, graduations, and pageants. The center's lobbies are also available for wedding receptions, banquets, and parties. Tampa Theatre is a historic nonprofit movie palace in downtown Tampa, Florida, operating at 711 N. Franklin Street since its opening on October 15, 1926. Designed by renowned atmospheric theatre architect John Eberson for Paramount Pictures, it stands today as the world's most complete and best-preserved example of Eberson's signature atmospheric style — a design that evokes a moonlit Mediterranean courtyard, complete with twinkling stars overhead, old-world statuary, gargoyles, and ornate architectural detail. Eberson himself considered Tampa Theatre his personal favorite among the atmospheric theatres he designed. After facing demolition in 1973, the building was saved through a community-led preservation effort and purchased by the City of Tampa. It reopened in January 1977, was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, and has since become a national model for historic theatre preservation. The venue is managed by the not-for-profit Tampa Theatre, Inc. under a long-term agreement with the City. Today the theatre hosts more than 600 events annually — including first-run and classic films, live concerts, special events, and corporate gatherings — across two cinema spaces: the historic 1,252-seat main auditorium and the intimate 43-seat John T. Taylor Screening Room, which opened in 2024 as the theatre's first expansion in nearly a century. Sons of Italy Lodge is a West Tampa event hall at 3315 West Lemon Street, operated by the Order of Sons and Daughters of Italy in America. The lodge has long served the Tampa Bay community as a gathering place for Italian-American heritage and culture, and today opens its doors to weddings, private celebrations, meetings, and community events. The main ballroom spans 6,400 square feet and features a 1,600-square-foot hardwood dance floor and an 8-by-24-foot stage, accommodating up to 400 guests. A 920-square-foot lobby provides a natural cocktail-hour or sign-in space just off the main hall. A separate room adjacent to the kitchen suits smaller gatherings of up to 50 guests. The facility includes a fully equipped kitchen available for outside caterers, a moveable bar, and ample on-site parking — more than 155 spaces on property, with an additional 90 available nearby.
