The land and structures at 35 Panhandle Road in West Tisbury are steeped in history, and this is evident throughout the property. It was formerly owned by Edwin Newhall "Bob" Woods (the great-grandson of founding father and first Secretary of the Society, Henry L. Whiting), and it now contains the "new" Agricultural Hall, two animal barns, an outdoor riding ring, and outbuildings. The Agricultural Hall was built on 20+ acres at the intersection of State and Panhandle Roads. Surrounded by open space with old growth trees dispersed throughout and backed on one side by a big hayfield, the location emanates peace and beauty typical of rural settings. A wooden barn formerly located in rural New Hampshire was meticulously demolished board by board, numbered labeled, packed, and packaged before being transported to the island by 42 volunteer 'Barnbusters' in the spring of 1994. In November of that year, hundreds of people from all around the island came together in a confluence of generosity to assist in the raising, sheathing, shingling, and painting of the 'new' Hall. Adding a front hall and verandah in the style and spirit of the 'old' Ag Hall, which is now known as the Grange Hall, on State Road, was a priority. It is possible to rent out the land for a limited number of events such as weddings and funerals, as well as religious, non-profit, educational, and governmental functions, as well as agricultural and allied operations. Birthday and anniversary parties are not permitted at this time. That's why we carefully select our components and prioritize our community in everything we do. Chef Irene Li and her two older siblings started Mei Mei as a food truck in 2012. Mei Mei food is a reflection of the Li siblings' best childhood dining memories as Chinese-American youngsters growing up in Boston. "Mei Mei" means "little sister" in Mandarin Chinese. Mei Mei's unique dumpling combinations reflect our passion for wonderful New England ingredients and a desire to create delicious dishes. We work with small, independent family farms in the Northeast to acquire pasture-raised meat. Throughout the year, we may get 70 percent of our food from the Northeast. Mei Mei has been a "Open Book" firm since 2018, which means they disclose all financial information with all employees, empowering them to think and act like managers regardless of their position or title. The business has altered since the pandemic. Our food truck has been taken off the road, and our restaurant dining room has been closed. But Mei Mei isn't going anywhere; in fact, our dumplings are making their way all over the world! Mei Mei dumplings are now available at farmers' markets in Wayland, Natick, Melrose, Roslindale, Belmont, Cambridge, Somerville, and elsewhere in the Greater Boston area.

From March to July, Little Donkey offered a venue for our cooks and colleagues to produce and pack 60,000 hot meals for Covid-19 frontline healthcare professionals through Cambridge-based Off Their Plate.
