As a Victorian gem, this premium venue offers a variety of unique characteristics that will turn your special occasion into something out of a fairy tale! The Queen Anne Victorian residence, original barn, servants' quarters, and smokehouse, all of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are all included in the facility's historic designation. For outdoor weddings, we also have a gazebo and veranda to accommodate your needs. In addition to a Tranquil Garden, which includes a pond, seats, flower-lined trellis, and other features; a nice shaded resting place, which includes a fountain; a fire pit; and gorgeous flower gardens; the grounds have been meticulously maintained. Our Occasion Hall, which is next to the estate and grounds, provides a spacious reception hall that is ideal for any wedding or special event. It features a floor-to-ceiling piled stone fireplace, a beautifully constructed permanent bar, a loft area overlooking the main floor that can be used for a variety of functions, and exquisite chandeliers that add to the overall attractiveness of your occasion. The Oaks Course is a public golf course and event venue situated in Covington, Georgia, east of Atlanta and minutes from I-20. Originally conceptualized by Bobby Jones in 1933, the course has grown into one of the top-ranked golf destinations in the state, set among native Georgia landscape. At the heart of the event offering is the Champions Room, a banquet space adjacent to Putters Restaurant. The room opens onto a spacious back porch overlooking holes one and two, providing a scenic backdrop for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, baby showers, luncheons, and corporate functions. The Champions Room accommodates up to 150 guests comfortably, and the experienced on-site catering team provides breakfast buffets, casual hors d'oeuvres, dinner buffets, and custom menus tailored to each event. Atlanta's newest wedding location, The Mill at Yellow River, is unlike any other! Located in Porterdale, Georgia, in the Porterdale Mill Lofts, a charming neighborhood of live-work spaces. Conyers and Covington, Georgia are just minutes away from The Mill at Yellow River, which is located off I-20. The ancient Mill, which is situated on the banks of the Yellow River, exudes charm and character that your guests will appreciate. A magnificent garden and a spacious outdoor patio are also available at The Mill at Yellow River. A 1,200 square foot bride's loft with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting area, a full kitchen, and a patio that overlooks the Yellow River is also available. We also have access to the Yellow River, which provides spectacular photo opportunity. The Yellow River roars as you go through the rocky terrain. The Lofts are at the entryway to rural Georgia, about thirty minutes from Atlanta and a few miles between Covington and Conyers. They display vintage materials and craftsmanship. Much of The Mill at Yellow River's construction still uses heartwood from mature southern yellow pines for support beams. These trees, sometimes known as longleaf pines, are now extremely rare and virtually always protected, making the production of beams like these nearly difficult. Original maple flooring may be found in several of the Mill's corridors and residences. These floors, which have now been thoroughly restored, have survived seven decades of intensive industrial use and 35 years of neglect. Meadowlark 1939, a historic estate 50 minutes south of Atlanta and steeped in history, is a reminiscence of English-inspired gardens combined with the warmth and welcome of southern charm. With crawling ivy, magnolia trees, statues and statuettes, clear lakes, and walkways to meander, we've created an environment where significant moments and connections can flourish! The journey begins with a site visit, during which you will be able to appreciate the beauty and heart of Meadowlark 1939 and her caretakers. We guarantee that from the moment you set foot on the site, you will "feel" the beautiful wedding setting of your dreams. Meadowlark Garden consisted of a total of seven acres of old formal gardens, which were set inside a 400-acre conservation area. The ancient property, which was built in 1883, has 2,200 square feet of furnished area for preparations and storage. Our 150-year-old Pecan tree provides a gorgeous backdrop for any event, and the site can accommodate up to 300 guests depending on the configuration of your event. There are a variety of ceremony and reception sites available on the property. Ingram family has owned this historically historic property since it was purchased in 1939, when they purchased the original farmhouse built in 1891, which is now a museum. When Frank Ingram and his wife, Rhoda Hopson Ingram, bought the ancient farmhouse, they immediately started renovating it and planting flowers in it. Rhoda Hopson had a genuine passion for gardening, and she imagined walkways and allees that would meander through pleasant garden rooms, which she saw come to fruition throughout her life. A number of years later, her grandson Jay Averett, together with the property's caretakers, AP and Alea Moore, revived the gorgeous property as Meadowlark 1939, bringing it back to life.

In 1836, Judge John Harris erected the residence as his townhouse. He possessed a huge property in Covington that was robbed by federal troops in 1864 when Sherman's march to the sea got underway. Sherman and Harris kept journals detailing their thirty-day stay at the Harris Plantation, which may be found at the Atlanta History Center. Following the Civil War with the property changing hands, Robert Franklin Wright purchased the property for $1,000. The Cedars is the name Robert and Salina gave to their home. They renovated the mansion's interior and built a boxwood garden on the back. Your event will have plenty of space both outside and indoors. The J.W. Smith Community Use Building is a rental event venue operated by the Clayton County Water Authority, situated on the banks of the 250-acre J.W. Smith Reservoir in Hampton, Georgia. The building carries the natural, rustic appearance of a mountain cabin while offering modern amenities — designed to blend into the surrounding forested backdrop. A large front porch with rocking chairs faces the reservoir, providing guests with a lake view throughout the event. The facility accommodates up to 50 guests, making it well suited for intimate weddings, family reunions, and small private celebrations. Renters may bring in self-catering or hire professional catering companies within CCWA's policies. The building is available for daily rental from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with rental packages for receptions and ceremonies including 12 hours of event time covering setup and cleanup.

Newton County Parks and Recreation is a public recreation department serving the residents of Newton County, Georgia, centered around the 158-acre Turner Lake Complex in Covington. The complex features a 34,000-square-foot building alongside a 26-acre lake, offering a full range of recreational programming, sports facilities, and rentable event spaces for groups of all sizes. The department's primary event space, the Turner Lake Banquet Room, accommodates up to 250 guests and comes equipped with round and rectangular tables, chairs, a podium, sound system, projector screen, and a kitchen prep area with a refrigerator, warming rack, and ice maker. An outdoor patio and lawn area are accessible directly from the room.
