Additionally, please limit your personal touches to tabletop décor only, and arrive early to ensure it is set to your liking.

A wide range of activities, including wedding receptions, concerts, talks, conferences, and meetings, are held in our Main Sanctuary for the benefit of the entire community. The majestic and well-known dome of the Temple crowns the building's soaring interior. The chandeliers in black and gold, as well as the two gorgeous stained glass windows that shine on either side of the room, provide a soft glow to the space. The Martin Meyer Sanctuary is located adjacent to the Main Sanctuary. This facility, which is popular for wedding ceremonies, musical events, and lectures, is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, a theatrical lighting system, and acoustics that are well regarded. What ever event we plan, you can be sure it will be one that will be remembered for a long time. Weddings Congregation Emanu-El is committed to making each wedding an authentic reflection of your Jewish religion and dedication to one another. We aim to achieve this goal with every wedding. In the sacred places of our Main and Martin Meyer Sanctuaries, we welcome people of all Jewish faiths and denominations to worship. All of the couples meet with the rabbi or cantor of their choosing to discuss the ritual and significance of the construction of a Jewish home in general. No matter what your religious affiliation, our rabbis and cantor are available to officiate at weddings for Jewish and interfaith couples of either gender. Interfaith couples must agree to meet the Temple's requirements for interfaith marriage before the ceremony can take place.

Cafe at the Presidio The Cafe, located in the center of the historic Presidio, offers a fresh, seasonal fare as well as magnificent golf course views. The Cafe, which is conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown, provides a delectable alternative to city dining. The Presidio Cafe is a casual club that serves American comfort food with a California twist. Try our Clam Chowder and Crab & Avocado Salad with fresh Dungeness Crab, or our Signature Ribeye with Schmitz Ranch natural beef, fondant porcini potatoes, and beer battered onion rings. Ghirardelli Square, considered the first successful adaptive reuse project in the country, has a history that spans more than a century and covers three continents. This specialty retail and dining complex, housing shops and restaurants, was originally a chocolate factory established by Domenico “Domingo” Ghirardelli.Born in 1817 in Rapallo, Italy, Ghirardelli served as a Genoa confectioner’s apprentice and at a young age developed a strong interest in the business. He left for Uruguay when he was 20 years old, then sailed around Cape Horn to Peru where he became a coffee and chocolate merchant.James Lick—Ghirardelli’s neighbor in Lima—left for San Francisco in January 1848 taking 600 pounds of Ghirardelli’s chocolate with him. He arrived just thirteen days before the first shiploads of gold-rush pioneers. Lured by his friend’s tales of the gold rush, Ghirardelli joined Lick a year later and opened a general store supplying mustard, coffee, spices and, of course, chocolate. Between 1852 and 1895, Ghirardelli’s Chocolate Factory was located at four different sites before the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company took over the Pioneer Woolen Mills on North Point Street—today’s site of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Manufactory & Soda Fountain and Ghirardelli Ghirardelli delights visitors with its lively retail mix, while maintaining Ghirardelli’s tradition as a trendsetter for the rest of the world. In 1982 the owners applied for and were granted National Historic Register status, a move that ensured the preservation of Ghirardelli Square for future generations. A small crab shack, once owned by the Geraldi family, was transformed into the Wharf's first full-service seafood restaurant. Fisherman's Grotto, named after the local fishermen, quickly became a Wharf fixture, serving the freshest seafood collected by the family themselves. The famous Fishermen's Grotto sign, which was added to the Wharf skyline in the mid 1950s and is now a proud part of it. Our facility can accommodate a wide range of private events such as weddings, business events, birthday and bridal showers, bar/bat mitzvahs, conferences, and more. To avoid having to wash dishes at night for her large family or having to eat hamburger helper (her brother's favorite dish to cook), Linda traded dish duties with her siblings for cooking duties, and developed an intense passion for planning menus, creating recipes, and putting on dinners and events for her family of 15 children. Linda is the mother of 15 children. In her adolescence, she could frequently be found in bookshops reading cookbooks, and she had a cherished memory of reading "The French Laundry Cookbook" for the first time from cover to cover when it was originally published. She made the decision to attend a cooking school shortly after, having no idea that it would turn out to be a career choice. Having been born and reared in Argentina to an American father and a French mother, she comes from a diverse background of cultures and experiences, which contributes to the diverse range of flavors she enjoys putting into her dishes. She moved to the Bay Area when she was 17 years old in order to attend culinary school in San Francisco. After stays in New York and Kansas City, she returned to the Bay Area and began performing at some of the city's most prestigious restaurants, including Masa's, Campton Place, The French Laundry, and Michael Mina's, among others.

Terra Mia Ristorante Italiano has been bringing genuine Italian cooking to the Livermore Valley since 2006. Located at 4040 East Avenue in Livermore, California, the restaurant draws on the traditions of Italian home cooking — simple, honest recipes using fresh, sustainable ingredients and pasta made in-house. Three private banquet rooms accommodate a range of gatherings. The Barolo Room seats up to 50 guests, the Chianti Room offers space for up to 60 in a secluded setting behind the bar, and the Main Room — the largest of the three — accommodates up to 120 seated guests. An outdoor patio rounds out the venue's options. Events can be scheduled for lunch, afternoon, or dinner service. Terra Mia is well suited for weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, baby showers, anniversaries, baptisms, and business meetings. MacArthur Park Restaurant and Bar occupies California Historical Landmark No. 895 at 27 University Avenue in Palo Alto — a building constructed during World War I as a Y.W.C.A. Hostess House, designed to serve as a safe meeting place for women and children visiting troops training at nearby Camp Fremont in Menlo Park. The structure has since been preserved as a landmark and transformed into a full-service American restaurant and event venue steps from the Caltrain station. The restaurant offers five private event spaces — the Veteran's Room (100 seated), the Julia Morgan Room (40 seated), Camp Fremont (30 seated), and an outdoor Patio (100 seated, 150 standing) — plus the option to buy out the full dining room for gatherings of up to 550. Events range from intimate board meetings and milestone dinners to wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and corporate holiday parties. MacArthur Park's American menu draws on local and seasonal ingredients, with an award-winning BBQ program anchoring the kitchen. In-house catering is available for private events, with menus that can be fully customized to the occasion.
