The barn itself is approximately 125 years old, blending historic character with modern amenities and a refined rustic aesthetic adaptable to a wide range of event styles. Each standard rental includes 350 white padded chairs, 22 handcrafted farm tables made from century-old wood, vintage string lighting, and three crystal chandeliers. The Acorn Center for the Performing Arts is an intimate, nonprofit theater housed in a restored historic featherbone factory in Three Oaks, Michigan — roughly 70 miles from downtown Chicago and 30 miles from South Bend. The building, which it shares with Journeyman Distillery and Staymaker restaurant, lends the space a distinctive industrial character, complemented by what the venue describes as outstanding acoustics and unusually close proximity between performers and the audience.
