Clark Plantation is a rustic-elegant event venue set on private grounds in Newberry, Florida, about 15 minutes west of Gainesville. The main structure spans more than 7,000 square feet and brings together a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, crystal chandeliers, white billowing drapes, and thousands of twinkling lights — a combination that gives the space equal footing for intimate gatherings and full-scale celebrations. The venue accommodates 50 to 250 guests across indoor and outdoor areas. Outside, mature pecan trees, a fire pit, and stone-paved walkways create a setting well suited to ceremonies, cocktail hours, and the kind of send-offs that linger in memory. Bridal and groom cottage dressing rooms are available on-site. Clark Plantation provides an in-house Events Director, Planner, and Coordinator for every event, and does not permit outside directors — guests and clients work directly with the venue team from planning through day-of execution. Décor is included in most packages, and the venue is handicap accessible.

The center seats 96 guests on fixed bench seating in a single intimate hall, making it a fitting setting for wedding ceremonies, memorial services, and private gatherings. With more than 100 weddings hosted each year and full wheelchair accessibility throughout, the Baughman Center is well suited for both formal and intimate occasions.

The Santa Fe River Ranch is the North Central Florida venue that best combines originality and adaptability. 5701 Venue + Event Hall is a nonprofit event space in Gainesville, Florida, where every rental dollar supports the on-site Senior Recreation Center. By day, the facility serves local seniors with daily classes, wellness programming, and a Meals on Wheels lunch site. By evening and on weekends, the doors open for weddings and receptions, family reunions, baby showers, corporate meetings, and private celebrations. The centerpiece is a banquet hall outfitted with round tables for seated dining, a stage, a built-in projector with an 11-foot drop screen, three 65-inch flat screens, dimmable lighting, and an outdoor patio. A full commercial kitchen with a traditional oven, industrial refrigerator and freezer, and warming equipment supports catered events. For smaller gatherings, the facility offers a large meeting room with flat screens and whiteboard space, as well as a compact meeting room suited to focused workshops or training sessions.
