Emma's Pond at Judge Morris Estate is a historic property set within Delaware's White Clay Creek State Park in Newark. The 600-acre estate centers on a 2½-story gray fieldstone mansion built in 1792, which served as the home of Judge Hugh M. Morris — a native Delawarean, respected attorney, and federal judge — after he and his wife Emma purchased the property in 1934. Emma Morris was instrumental in having the pond installed on the grounds, which gives the venue its current name. The State of Delaware acquired the estate in 1998 for $12.5 million, preserving it as part of the state park system. The estate accommodates both intimate indoor gatherings and larger tented outdoor celebrations. The beautifully decorated interior of the historic farmhouse holds up to 50 guests, while the sweeping lawns, serene pond, and fenced courtyard provide a backdrop for tented receptions of up to 250 guests. Indian River Marina sits within Delaware Seashore State Park on the north side of the Indian River Inlet, four miles south of Dewey Beach and just west of the Indian River Inlet Bridge. Delaware's largest marina, the facility offers direct access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the inland bays, with waterfront views of the Indian River and Rehoboth Bays that shape the character of every event held here. For celebrations, the marina's centerpiece is The Point — an outdoor ceremony and reception site framed by the modern Indian River Bridge and the surrounding inlet waters.
