Your party can move between the indoor reception space and our gorgeous 1,200-square-foot outdoor patio for a memorable cocktail hour. Our venue can accommodate 120 guests in the outdoor space and 300 in the indoor reception space. You and your loved ones can meander down to the banks of the beautiful Fox River and take in the sunset while you raise a glass. Society 57 is a NEW premiere urban wedding and event venue in downtown Aurora, IL. A place where history and design converge to create a one-of-a-kind experience, the redesigned historic building is located along the Fox River in downtown Aurora, IL. Society 57's 9,000 sq. ft. space features 4,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space with a custom bar and lounge, a couple's preparation room, and a catering area; as well as a full-service coffeehouse, lounge and mid-size event rooms. An overhead door in the main event space opens to a Juliet balcony overlooking the Fox River. Society 57 event space is ideal for weddings, seated receptions, banquets, fundraisers, quinceañeras, corporate events, holiday parties or family gatherings. The main event space has a dinner seating capacity of 150 with dance floor; and a cocktail reception capacity of 250. They all came together in 1993, when Sam Elias, our founder, moved from Florida to Chicago and opened up what the people were demanding: 4,000 square feet to bump cars, slam dunk, cross check, laugh, eat, drink, and simply…have fun. A needed release from the daily 9 to 5 grind and Tuesday bowling night, our first location in Lombard, Illinois was so popular, we opened up another factory of fun near downtown Chicago as well as Vernon Hills. But the people demanded more. So we delivered. To the delight of adrenaline junkies and lovers of unadulterated fun everywhere, we added laser tag arenas with multiple levels, billiards, bowling, and arcade games. The people were now content.
