Located in New York City, The Love Shack is a surreal photographic location and event space. Alexander and Brittany Love designed and built two life-size dollhouses inside an abandoned industrial building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. A large majority of the pieces of furniture and lighting you see are either original designs, or they have been restored and modified from their original forms. Some of our pieces, such as our one-of-a-kind lighting designs and The Library Chair, are available for purchase. In addition to photoshoots, small corporate events like cocktail parties, weddings, and other intimate gatherings, the Love Shack can be used as a performance space or as a screening room. About Brooklyn Grange: Founded in 2010, Brooklyn Grange is the leading rooftop farming and intensive green roofing business in the US, operating the world’s largest rooftop soil farms, located in New York City. Our rooftop farms in Brooklyn span almost 5 acres and produce over 80,000 lbs of organically-grown vegetables per year. We sell our produce at farmers markets and through our sliding scale CSA program. Through our Equitable Distribution Program, nearly 60% of our annual yields are distributed to New Yorkers at no or low cost. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, the Prospect Park Zoo is a hidden gem for any upcoming social or corporate gathering. Sharing a corner with the famous Kingston Lounge, the restaurant’s muted, taupe detailing complements the foundational walls of an archetypal Brooklyn brownstone. Immediately inside, an elegantly contemporary bar and lounge seating area is enclosed by tasteful marble tiling. Meat’s main seating area includes armchair and banquette seating, and large windows to enjoy Brooklyn’s unique scenery. Above, the ceiling’s angular, wood panels invite the observer forward into a final seating area. This private dining room juxtaposes an exposed brick accent wall with living ivy and a modern glass ceiling that draws in historic Brooklyn. Both dining areas eschew conventional design, instead featuring marble and walnut tabletops, hand-crafted stone dishes, and radiant brass lighting; a relaxing twist on traditional fine dining. Classic and contemporary continue to meet in the downstairs kitchen, where a state-of-the-art cooking facility neighbors a vintage meat curing and aging room and subway tiled walls, another ode to New York’s rich history. The space, which features exposed brickwork and open ceilings, is large enough to accommodate 150 guests while still retaining the warmth and ambiance required for smaller groups of 50 or fewer people.
