Since 1935, Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant has been a Fort Worth institution. Mr. and Mrs. Joe T. Garcia founded the restaurant, and it has remained in the Garcia family ever since. Throughout the restaurant and on our famed patio, there are signs of a long family heritage. Joe T. Garcia's had become one of the most popular restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by the 1970s. The restaurant began to expand not only in popularity but also in size as a result of their loyal consumers. The first addition was a modest patio with a pool and cabana. Every year since then, a new patio, party space, or eating area has been built. The seating capacity has grown from sixteen in the beginning to well over 1000 presently. Even as the restaurant grows, the same style of cooking and original recipes are used, and the younger generation exhibits the same passion and enthusiasm for the business that their parents and grandparents instilled in them. There are many lovely reasons to have a party or event at Joe T. Garcias. We can accommodate groups of 25 or more with our lush gardens and amazing indoor areas. The restaurant can be as intimate or open as needed, adapting to each occasion, thanks to the range of rooms offered. Rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, graduation parties, corporate celebrations, and benefits have all been held at our venue. Outside, breathtaking views of lush gardens and fountains abound, while internal spaces like La Puertita exude genuine rustic charm. We can also accommodate you at your preferred location. For an appointment to see our lovely party rooms, please contact or email leah@joetgarcias.com.

The Ostreum is a Roman amphitheatre built in the first century AD. Weddings and special events are now being hosted at the venue, which opened its doors in June. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, The Ostreum is the second venue owned and operated by Lynsie Blau. It is the sister (not the twin) of BRIK Venue. Ostreum is the latin word for oyster, and it also the name of the city in which it is situated. Named for the luxury associated with oysters and the notion that beauty is housed under an inconspicuous facade, the name is appropriate for the establishment. It is also necessary to consider the speakeasy notion. Previous to that, it served as the warehouse component of the O.B. Macaroni Factory, which was founded in the early 1900s. As well as the exposed brick walls, the venue still retains its original red wood columns and rafters. This area has been refurbished in a romantic, art deco design, which is carried throughout. Tasteful. Stylish and unique, these are the words that come to mind. The Ostreum is meant to give you the flexibility to plan your day exactly how you want it to be. Traditional red wood columns and ivory painted old cinder block walls grace the main chamber of our vast establishment. In order to facilitate the flow of your event, deep plum, sumptuous drapes can be used to divide the room into two or three different spaces. A variety of configuration possibilities for your guests are provided by our custom square tables, which are exclusive to The Ostreum.. Custom bars, seats, and cocktail tables are also included in the rental of the venue's interior. When it comes to both design and size, our dressing rooms are unrivaled. Having plenty of space for your wedding party allows you to relax and enjoy the beginning of your day while getting ready for the evening's festivities. -

The Queen Anne Victorian home that was built in 1899 and is known as the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House is considered to be the most preserved of its kind in the region. This exquisite Victorian masterpiece of a little over 5,000 square feet was constructed by English architect Howard Messer for Galveston widow Mrs. George Ball (Sarah) and her son Frank in 1899. The home was built high on a hill overlooking the Trinity River. At a time when the typical cost of a dwelling was between $2,000 and $4,000, the construction of the house came to $38,000. The house has had just three different families live in it over its entire existence, and it has seen very few changes since it was first built. There are towers, gables, copper finials, a slate tile roof, and a porch made of red sandstone and marble on the late Victorian facade. The elegant interior has its original wood mantles, cornices, paneling, coffered ceilings, and parquet flooring. The McFarland House was declared as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1979, as well as Fort Worth's second Historic and Cultural Landmark in 1980. In 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and in 1980, it was certified as such by the state of Texas.

    Thistle Hill

1509 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104, USA
    • Spaces for 250 Guests

Thistle Hill is the most spectacular cattle baron era estate that has been preserved, and it is also one of the most prominent residential landmarks in Fort Worth. Thistle Hill is a Georgian Revival home that exemplifies the architectural magnificence of Fort Worth's affluent pioneers. The neighborhood where it is located was formerly known as Quality Hill. In the year 1904, Albert Buckman Wharton, Jr. and his wife Electra Waggoner Wharton, who was the daughter of a wealthy cattleman named W.T. Waggoner, moved into this home that was 11,000 square feet and included 18 rooms. The home was remodeled by Sanguinet and Staats in 1911, after Elizabeth and Winfield Scott bought the estate for $90,000 and commissioned them to do so. The original house had been designed by Sanguinet and Staats. The primary bulk of the house is a gambrel-roofed structure that is two and one-half stories tall and has semi-circular bays on either side. The mansion is accentuated by towering chimneys as well as a massive porch that has limestone columns. The roof is covered in glossy green tiles, and the walls are elaborately framed in cast stone. The outside is red brick. The foyer welcomes guests with a grand staircase and abundant woodwork as two of its prominent features. The enclosed gardens of 1.5 acres, which include a magnificent carriage house, have been preserved. In 1975, the home was included in the National Register of Historic Places. In 1977, it was recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, and in 1978, it became the first Historic and Cultural Landmark in Fort Worth.

If you're planning a special occasion, the American Airlines CR Smith Museum is an excellent choice. You may use it for a business reception, private celebration, wedding ceremony or reception, charity fundraising, awards ceremony, breakfast meeting, team building event, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and many other types of events. Because it opened its doors in 1993, the CR Smith Museum has provided a vibrant learning environment in which exhibitions and educational activities excite and engage visitors of all ages. Through hands-on, immersive experiences, it contributes to increasing the general public's awareness of commercial aviation, airline operations, and the broader impact of flying and air transportation on our global society. While the Museum's collections, special exhibitions, and educational programs are the primary means by which these subjects are illustrated, the Museum also uses its collections, special exhibitions, and educational programs to educate school children and teens, families, and life-long learners about the science, technology, and history of aviation in general, and the history of aviation in the Dallas/Fort Worth region specifically. While the history and accomplishments of American Airlines are the primary means by which these subjects are illustrated, the Museum also uses its collections, special exhibitions, and The Museum is dedicated to serving as a primary resource for education in North Texas, and in order to accomplish this, it places science and social studies learning in a historical context by relating and illustrating the accomplishments of the airline industry in the region, as well as human stories of creativity and technological advancement, among other things. With exhibits that relay the current and historical achievements of the men and women involved in revolutionizing the aerospace industry with an emphasis on the contributions of those associated with American Airlines, the Museum has created a platform that illustrates the science behind flight and space exploration; infuses science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education through entertainment throughout the galleries; and inspires the next generation of scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. History comes to life at the Museum, as do scientific principles that are readily comprehended. It is a superb illustration of why museums have emerged as one of the most successful methods of offering informal education, particularly to kids in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. A powerful social environment for learning and support for schools and teachers as they strive to meet the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) curriculum. Through hands-on, activity-based exhibits and programs, museums have been shown to spur creativity and innovation as well as improve empirical thinking, communication skills, and literacy in students of all ages. Museum visits are enjoyable, lead to measurable increases in motivation among those who attend, particularly children, and introduce and encourage students' interest in careers in the subjects of their collections – in this case, the aviation industry – through their exhibits and educational programs, among other benefits.

The Rose Chapel includes an Indoor Chapel and Outdoor Courtyard in the wedding venue. A full-service wedding venue ready to host your perfect day! Indoor weddings in Rose Chapel and outdoor nuptials in our lovely courtyard are both possible. Stay and revel in the Grand Ballroom or the reception salon once you've tied the knot. A Brief History of the Rose Chapel and Southside Preservation Hall The former Central Methodist Church, built in 1911 at 1519 Lipscomb St., was formerly the spiritual home of many notable Fort Worth families around the turn of the century. The building has been threatened with demolition multiple times since the congregation relocated in 1969. The Panther Boys Club, a civic organization, purchased the facility in 1972 and transformed the church facilities into a gymnasium, boxing ring, and adolescent dance area. The chapel was not in use at the time. The property was then spared from demolition by the Southside Preservation Association, which was founded in 1996 by a determined group of preservationists. The Association, which is run entirely by volunteers and is a non profit organization, works to repair the facility's buildings and grounds, winning multiple community honors in the process. The magnificent, restored Rose Chapel, named after the Flower of Love, is always booked. The Southside Preservation Hall's adjoining rooms accommodate a diverse range of events, from corporate parties and wedding receptions to dances, classes, and performances that reflect the metroplex's diversity. The proceeds from these activities will go toward the property's continuing restoration and care in order to maintain its legacy.
