Lakes of Taylor Golf Club is a championship golf course and event venue in Taylor, Michigan, established in 1995 and designed by architect Arthur Hills. Set on a par 72 layout stretching 7,028 yards, the club has grown into one of Metro Detroit's most recognized public courses and a full-service destination for weddings, corporate events, golf outings, and private celebrations. The Orion Center is a community event facility operated by Orion Township Parks & Recreation, located at 1335 Joslyn Road in Lake Orion, Michigan. Built in 2011 on 11 acres, the center provides multiple rentable interior spaces for banquets, wedding receptions, birthday parties, reunions, meetings, and other private gatherings. Three dining rooms — A, B, and C — accommodate groups ranging from 40 to 96 seated guests individually, and can be combined to seat up to 180 guests at tables and chairs, or 225 guests with chairs only. A warming kitchen equipped with a commercial refrigerator, oven, and microwave is available to approved caterers and potluck groups. An outdoor wedding gazebo is available for ceremonies as part of the Gold rental package. Carlyle Grill has been a fixture on Ann Arbor's west side since 2006, built around daily scratch cooking with ingredients sourced from Michigan producers. Taylor Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is a nonprofit open-air event venue set on 35 acres in Taylor, Michigan, in the Downriver region south of Detroit. Friendship Park is a 134.97-acre township-owned property operated by Orion Township Parks & Recreation in Lake Orion, Michigan — the largest park in the township's portfolio. Walnut Creek Country Club is a private, family-oriented club in South Lyon, Michigan, built on grounds the club has called home since 1987. Its roots go back to 1955, when the original club was founded as Farmington Country Club; after relocating to the current Lyon Township property, the clubhouse was built in 1989 and the 27-hole Arthur Hills signature course was completed in 1995. The club offers golf, tennis, swimming, and dining for members and their guests. For private events and weddings, the clubhouse hosts groups from 14 to 320 across several spaces: the Banquet Ballroom seats up to 220 guests alongside a dance floor, or 320 without it, and can be configured for smaller functions.
