Before it became our beloved event venue, the historic Crystal Plaza was originally a residential mansion. The initial Livingston, New Jersey-based residence was built in the late 1800s by famed architect Stanford White, who was responsible for designing the Tiffany building on Fifth Avenue, the original Madison Square Garden complex and the arch at Washington Square Park in Manhattan, among other landmark structures. While the restored building has since been reincarnated as one of the leading wedding and event spaces in the tri-state area, it still maintains the feeling of its 19th century grandeur, making it a distinct and picturesque setting for special days of all kinds. Wave Hill offers the most romantic setting in New York City for your unforgettable wedding. Your ceremony takes place at the Pergola on the Great Lawn, with your cocktail hour either there or moved to the Lower Lawn or Kate French Terrace at historic Wave Hill House. Seated dinner is held in Armor Hall, which has a capacity capped at 130 guests, including a small band and dance floor in the Hall. If you choose to locate the dance floor nearby in the adjacent Mark Twain Room, the capacity is then 180 seated guests. Tented options are available at an additional cost for larger events up to 230 guests. Renting Wave Hill for a private weekend event requires a Wave Hill Membership at the $10,000 level. The tax-deductible portion is $9,748, and provides the wedding host with one year of Member benefits at this special level. In addition to Membership, the rental fee for a private evening event on the weekend is $8,000. Guest arrival begins at 6pm with departure at midnight. Wave Hill’s exclusive caterer, Great Performances, is dedicated to collaborating with you to create a personalized, quality experience for your guests. Passionate about culinary presentation, tastes and flavors that are crafted to enrich the occasion, Great Performances offers a proprietary element of style and innovative design that turns catering into an art-form and events into celebrations. Our high-end space has 6 different spaces including a large great room, library, wellness room, apothecary, kitchen and outdoor courtyard. We are also right across the street from a beautifully designed park. Our space is perfect for corporate off-sites with a large presentation and meeting room and full LED flat panel. We only rent for full days (not by the hour), you can rent one studio for $5,000 or the entire space for $8,000 for up to 12 hours. This includes a studio and kitchen manager but does not include catering. Should you require catering or have more than 100 people, rental of the entire space is mandatory. Above The Heights is a newly built 13,000+ SF private event space in Upper Manhattan’s premier 23-story mixed-use tower – Radio 181. Located on the 12th floor with two outdoor terraces with unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline and George Washington Bridge, the event space can host a variety of occasions from conferences, product launches, and corporate galas to weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, mitzvahs for up to 500 guests.
