Columbia Inn Restaurant is a Montville, New Jersey establishment founded in 1997 by brothers Ryan and Aran McDermott, both Montville natives whose family has been part of the community since 1982. The building itself has deeper roots: constructed in the 1870s as Montville's town hall, it later became an inn serving travelers along the corridor between historic Route 202 and the Morris Canal. The McDermott family carries on a hospitality tradition started by their father, Joe McDermott, who previously opened Harrigan's restaurant in the area. The Columbia Inn is recognized for its thin-crust pizza and Italian menu. There are many different types of events that can be held at the Parlour. Our spaces have been created to host and accommodate your needs as much as possible. From a small space for a nice dinner party to a medium-sized space for a medium-sized party, or a larger space for a bridal shower, baby shower, engagement party, bar mitzvah, corporate events, beer pong, and more, we have a space to accommodate your needs. The Coffee Bar, which is also known as the Espresso Bar, is located on the left hand side of our restaurant as you enter. Guests can easily accommodate 50 to 60 people in this pleasant and comfortable space. As you enter our restaurant, the main bar is located on the right-hand side of the building. This space has a dining area as well as a cocktail area that can accommodate up to 90 people. This is primarily for a special mid-size event of great significance. There are private bathrooms, a dining area, and a dancing area in our downstairs lounge, which is located in our basement. With appetizers and cocktails, we can accommodate up to 175 guests. For a sit-down dinner, we can accommodate up to 75 people. On request, we can provide a DJ and/or Karaoke services. In addition to our pool table, which serves our customers on a daily basis, the back room can be transformed into an elegant setting for a small private dinner event for up to 25 guests. On request, a small cocktail reception for 35 people can be arranged.
