Above all, City Tap House DC's goal is to see their food and craft beer enhance your special event and ensure it is one your guests will love. For City Tap House DC, craft is everything. “Craft” is most often defined as doing things by hand. For City Tap House DC, craft is complex, innovative beers. Craft is food that inspires and surprises the palate. Craft is service that delights and exceeds expectations. Most importantly, craft means championing love and integrity in every aspect of what they do. From India Pale to Berliner Weisse, Fruited Wheats to Barrel-Aged Stouts, the world of craft beer is rich with variety and innovation. With so much beer to try, entering this world can feel overwhelming. Throw in jargon like “hoppy-ness,” “cask-conditioned,” and “brettanomyces” — it’s easy to drown in the vocabulary of craft beer alone! But that’s why City Tap House DC is here: to make craft beer accessible to all. In City Tap House DC's kitchen, craft comes first. Like beer slowly fermenting in a tank, their food is prepared with equal parts precision and patience. Lead by Executive Chef, Ian Branning our menu blends personal expertise with regional traditions to make something daring and refreshing.

Classic dishes such as sushi and ramen, as well as authentic Izakaya masterpieces, can be found on the restaurant's menu. Umaya will delight your senses in every way, from the refreshing décor to the Asian comfort food and the scent of the Izakaya grill.. Umaya brings a much-needed Izakaya presence to the nation's capital, which was previously lacking. It is similar to tapas restaurants in that they encourage guests to share and enjoy their time together over a few drinks, which is always the case at an izakaya restaurant. A wide selection of beer and sake will be available at Umaya, which will complement the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere of the restaurant. Every few months, the seasonal menu will be updated, but favorite staples will remain on the menu. In Japanese, the word 'Umaya' literally translates as a 'place that tastes good.' In contrast to your traditional upscale sushi restaurant, Umaya is a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself after work, on weekends, or whenever you need to relax and unwind. Our team at Umaya Izakaya is ready to assist you if you are looking for a spectacular space to host your next family occasion or business gathering in the greater Los Angeles area. Big Bear Cafe
1700 R St NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA- Spaces for 20-159 Guests
- 1 Restaurant
Our vine-covered patios and indoor dining places are ideal for a variety of intimate gatherings. Big Bear Cafe is located in the middle of Washington, DC, in a quiet residential neighborhood. It's a 120-year-old Victorian commercial townhouse with cobblestone patios, floral gardens, trees, and old native grape vines surrounding it. Big Bear Cafe is a local cafe, coffeeshop, and restaurant with a long tradition of award-winning chefs, outstanding food, and friendly service. The indoor eating room features a full-service classic bar, exposed brick and plaster walls, and rough-hewn hardwood tables made from the original 120-year-old Big Bear Market's recovered beams. The area is candle-lit at night, and tables are set up for large communal table dining or individual dining. Alternatively, the space could be freed for an open-floor reception. The outside garden patio can be used in conjunction with the internal space to provide an additional outdoor space (such as an outdoor dining space, reception drinking area, outdoor fire pit seating area, presentation space, or other special activity). The second level has wood-paneled walls, a wood fireplace, and exposed brick walls, making it a great rustic environment. This space is ideal for cocktail events or seated group dinners. Big Bear Cafe is an amazing urban getaway for an intimate garden wedding, evening supper, or celebration. Award-winning chefs, ingredient-driven farm-focused cuisine, and pleasant professional service staff are all part of our history. A grapevine canopy hangs above the outside garden patio. The herb gardens encircle the room, creating a barrier between it and the outside world. Wedding ceremonies can be held on the terrace, with an interior reception to follow. Dinner can also be served outside under the grape vines, with separate reception and meeting facilities indoors, or on a little patio off to the side.

The French Riviera has always been a meeting point for people, cultures, and culinary traditions. With such abundance and diversity, we founded FIG & OLIVE to capture the essence of the French Riviera, which is built on a foundation of genuine ingredients, a keen understanding of flavor, and an ambiance that celebrates the love of life and culture that are synonymous with the region. Fig & Olive's cuisine is guided by a philosophy that starts, first and foremost, with a love and respect for the ingredients that are used in the preparation of the dishes. Every dish, whether it's paper-thin carpaccios, a fruity blood orange infused olive oil, a supple burrata, or an aged balsamic vinegar, is served without compromising on quality or taste. Taking inspiration from the region's love of premium-quality olive oil, we cook with minimal use of heavy sauces and creams, instead focusing on the fresh flavors that are essential to the Mediterranean Diet. The moment you walk into one of our restaurants, you will be greeted by an abundance of natural light, outdoor terraces, the scent of rosemary, and music that has been carefully selected. Every effort is made to ensure that our guests feel pampered and special during their stay. The life of luxury is represented by us, but we present it in a way that is both approachable and effortless. In our bar, lounges, or dining rooms, you can get away from it all with a delicious cocktail, a wine list selected by a sommelier, and a culinary journey unlike any other. Bienvenue.

Farmers & Distillers
600 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001, USA- Spaces for 47-55 Guests
- 1 Restaurant
Farmers & Distillers would like to welcome you. NEW DC MASK POLICY IN EFFECT MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT. Unless you are seated for a meal in our dining room, we require all guests and staff to wear masks indoors in accordance with current local government rules and regulations. Please keep in mind that this applies to both guests and employees who have received vaccinations. North Dakota Farmers Union, led by Mark Watne, has opened Farmers & Distillers, the state's newest and most diverse restaurant. The restaurant is a collaboration between our restaurateurs, Mike Vucurevich and Dan Simons, and the more than 47,000 farmers who make up North Dakota Farmers Union, our farmer-owners. We opened Founding Farmers and Farmers Fishers Bakers because we wanted to bring diners closer to the source of their food, whether that be through geography or through knowledge of the food. Here at Farmers & Distillers, we are continuing the tradition while also raising the bar by shortening the food supply chain, increasing demand, and bringing American family-farm products closer to the plate and the glass. Whether it's the grain that goes into our bread, the barley that goes into our beer, or the dairy that goes into our butter, the stronger the farmer, the better the food, and the tastier the drink is going to be. Farmers & Distillers would like to welcome you. Farmers & Distillers is rooted in George Washington's American industriousness and keen eye for opportunity, which are ingrained in the very foundation of this country and in every aspect of the company. As we navigated our way north, we kept asking ourselves, "What would George do?" in terms of flavor, cooking technique, and atmosphere. President Washington served as our true north. The dishes at Farmers & Distillers showcase his well-documented passions for European cooking techniques as well as pioneering American flavors, and we invite you to join us on a diverse culinary journey that we imagine he would have enjoyed. President Washington's approach to leveraging the lands and water at his beloved estate, Mount Vernon, as well as the skills and abilities of those in his immediate vicinity, directed us to pay homage to our Mt Vernon Square neighborhood, which included the immigrant settlers of yesterday and the Chinatown neighborhood of today, as well as the skills and abilities of those in his immediate vicinity. This incredible journey has led us to the creation of our one-of-a-kind offerings, which we are thrilled to share with you.

The only national museum dedicated to the recording of African American life, history, and culture is the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Following decades of initiatives to promote and showcase the contributions of African Americans, it was established by an Act of Congress in 2003. Almost 40,000 objects have been acquired by the Museum thus far, and almost 100,000 people have joined as members. The Museum became the 19th museum of the Smithsonian Institution and welcome visitors on September 24, 2016. The Museum building is a visible representation of African American history and culture on the US National Mall. Its setting and design serve as tangible and metaphorical representations of the past, present, and future of the African American experience. Every organization that wants to hold a gathering at the Museum must submit an application for approval to the NMAAHC Office of Special Events. An application may be submitted by the group sponsoring the event or by an event manager working on their behalf.
