When you get married at the Morrison-Clark Hotel, which is conveniently located in the heart of Washington, DC, you can take advantage of its rich history, great gastronomy, and impeccable service standards to create the wedding of your dreams. The Morrison-Clark opened its doors in 1987 following a restoration effort overseen by William Adair (who was also in charge of the White House's repairs) of two Victorian town houses erected in 1864 by the Morrison and Clark families and held by the Morrison and Clark families. The Soldiers, Sailors, and Marine Club was established in 1930 by the Women's Army and Navy League, who purchased the town homes and converted them into a military housing facility for military personnel passing through the nation's capital. Although the Club was known for hosting silver teas and Sunday coffee, it was also a popular gathering place for high society women such as First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady Admiral Dewey, and First Lady Calvin Coolidge, among others. Housed in a former Arlington County school building, the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington (MoCA Arlington) has occupied its location since 1976. The building was constructed in 1910 to a design by architect Charles M. Robinson and served as a school before being adapted for cultural use; it is designated both an Arlington County Landmark and a listing on the National Register of Historic Places. A 2005 renovation restored the building's original Louis Comfort Tiffany Studio stained-glass windows, which remain a signature feature of the space today. Spanning 17,000 square feet, the museum houses nine exhibition galleries, twelve artist studios, and three classrooms. Its event spaces include the Tiffany Gallery, set beneath the restored stained-glass windows, along with several of the museum's rotating contemporary art galleries, together accommodating up to 150 guests for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions. Glenview Mansion is a 1926 Neo-Classical Revival estate listed on the National Register of Historic Places, set within Rockville's 153-acre Civic Center Park. Built to entertain, the mansion retains its original character — exotic marble floors, formal boxwood gardens, ornamental fountains, and stone archways — while serving today as a full-service event venue operated by the City of Rockville, Maryland. The mansion's first floor opens into a suite of interconnected social rooms, each with its own character: the marble-floored Conservatory with dazzling lighting, the window-lined Dining Room and Library, and the Living Room with direct access to the Formal Gardens.
