Lounsbury House, a Ridgefield, CT landmark since 1896, is the ideal setting for commemorating life's significant moments. The historic house and classic gardens have served as a setting for weddings, corporate meetings, art gatherings, festivals, and private parties for all seasons since becoming the town's community center over 60 years ago. Our staff can assist you with everything from a charming breakfast in our grounds to an impressive formal wedding. With such a beautiful site, there are plenty of options for lovely interior and outdoor weddings. Allow us to assist you in making the preparations for your special day a stress-free experience. PLANNING YOUR WEDDING You will meet with our event staff on your initial visit to the mansion to go over the logistics of your unique occasion. We can assist you with all aspect of the planning process, from arranging the day to collaborating with vendors. LOUNSBURY HOUSE – ELEGANT PARTY VENUE For your next Birthday Party, Lounsbury House provides a unique and exquisite setting. The ballroom, dining room, and Crystal Room all include original crown molding and woodwork, as well as ornate fireplaces, on the main floor of the home. The Crystal Room is decorated with ornate details and has a grand piano. A bridal suite, private groom's clubroom, and two conference rooms are located on the second floor, which also has a lounge with a central ornate fireplace. An original stained glass window graces the stairwell landing.

Bernard's offers the sophisticated environment and distinctive food that will make your experience a memorable one, whether you are wanting to have a romantic evening for two, meet with a group of friends, or host a bigger private party. Bernard's provides a diverse selection of private and distinctive eating and gathering areas that can accommodate groups of 10 to 140 people. Chef Bernard adjusts the menu on a regular basis to reflect the freshest, most seasonal foods available. He improved the land by adding vegetable gardens, which now generate more than half of the product throughout the summer and fall seasons. We are able to host groups of up to 100 people within and 200 people outside, depending on local limitations. Boscobel opened as a nonprofit museum sixty years ago. Built between 1804 and 1808, it was originally the dream house of wealthy Loyalists. By the 1950s, after falling into disrepair, it was demolished. Preservationists saved as many architectural fragments as possible and reassembled them fifteen miles north, where the Neoclassical mansion was restored back to—and even beyond—its original grandeur. Boscobel was saved as a beautiful piece of art. Now an esteemed Historic House Museum containing one of the finest collections of decorative arts from the Federal period, Boscobel offers admission to 68 acres of our grounds, featuring lush gardens and a woodland trail. Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, Boscobel directly overlooks Constitution Marsh toward the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, showcasing dramatic views of the Hudson River.
