As soon as guests walk through the door of La Bise, they will feel the energy, as they will be able to see and hear the kitchen activity from the bar. There are comfortable stools to encourage lingering in this lively hub of the restaurant, which has the best vantage point for watching the chefs in action. Each of the two dining rooms will have its own distinct style to showcase. One of the dining rooms will have a reflective mirrored wall that will catch the light. It is planned to use a bold striped fabric design on the banquettes in this dining room, which will complement the salmon-colored wallpaper that will be used to decorate the entire room. It will have deep tufted banquettes and custom murals of Paris, which will elicit memories of this romantic city when you walk into the second dining room. There are three private dining rooms, a bar, and a patio available. Up to 150 guests can be accommodated for a cocktail reception and 100 guests can be served dinner in the entire facility. In recent years, speakeasies have received a great deal of attention, but there is another era of bars in America that sent young people scrambling to find a random door covered in stickers and illuminated by an ominous pink glow, known as The Underground Rave. It was not uncommon in the late twentieth century to arrive at a party by walking down an alley, past a loading dock, and entering the party through the kitchen. There were lots of neon, lots of bright colors, and lots of black lights. Because there was no craft movement at the time, people drank trashy mixed drinks like Cosmos, Long Island Iced Teas, and "the blue one," which were popular at the time. It's a 120-year-old Victorian commercial townhouse with cobblestone patios, floral gardens, trees, and old native grape vines surrounding it. Big Bear Cafe is a local cafe, coffeeshop, and restaurant with a long tradition of award-winning chefs, outstanding food, and friendly service. The indoor eating room features a full-service classic bar, exposed brick and plaster walls, and rough-hewn hardwood tables made from the original 120-year-old Big Bear Market's recovered beams. The area is candle-lit at night, and tables are set up for large communal table dining or individual dining. Alternatively, the space could be freed for an open-floor reception.
