The William Root House is a historic wedding location in downtown Marietta, Georgia. The house was erected in 1845 by Hannah and William Root, who were among the first to establish Marietta. Today, the property serves as a museum and a private event venue, complete with magnificent grounds. The mansion and grounds have been meticulously restored, making it suitable for rustic wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers, and other events. The town square is located next to the Marietta Square Market and can be accessed on foot in five minutes. Atlanta and Hartsfield-Atlanta International Airport are also around a 30-minute drive away. Indoor and outdoor event areas are available at the William Root House. The courtyard is a multi-purpose facility surrounded by well-kept vegetation. The courtyard can seat up to 70 people for a seated meal and up to 150 people for a ceremony or cocktail hour. The location has a lovely inside room with seats for up to 24 guests for smaller, more intimate occasions. A vaulted ceiling, white shiplap walls, raw wood floors, and a kitchen with marble countertops and a log cabin accent wall characterize the space. Midtown Events Center occupies a fully renovated former church in Bowling Green, Kentucky, nestled near downtown off Fairview Avenue — recognized by the historic Bowling Green water tower nearby. The building retains its original hardwood floors, stained glass windows, and chandeliers, offering a classic architectural backdrop that suits everything from intimate ceremonies to milestone celebrations. Miller Union is named after the former Miller Union Stockyards that occupied one full city block in Atlanta’s old meatpacking district in the 1880s. The stockyard building suffered a fire after the turn of the century and was later replaced with an industrial warehouse, typical of the time period. Miller Union, the restaurant, was founded in 2009 by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy in the refurbished warehouse that sits on the former site and has since contributed to the evolution of the neighborhood. They created a rustic, yet modern atmosphere with a respect for the history of the neighborhood, and an anchor for the emerging one. Miller Union has since become an Atlanta mainstay. Satterfield cooks in an organic way by reacting to the ever-changing harvest of the seasons. The Biltmore Hotel, which opened its doors in 1924 and served as the center of Atlanta's business and social life for over sixty years. This magnificent landmark was created by the architecture company Shultze and Weaver, which is also responsible for such iconic hotels as The Breakers in Palm Beach, the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, The Pierre, and The Sherry Netherland in Amsterdam. It was formerly referred to as "The South's Supreme Hotel," but the Biltmore was forced to lock its doors in 1982 after a change in ownership and several years of continuous deterioration. When The Biltmore underwent a complete makeover in 1999, it was the result of sixteen years of neglect and abandonment. The result was a combination of Class A office space and retail space, as well as a unique event area. The reconstruction of the Georgian and Imperial Ballrooms, which are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, allowed The Biltmore to swiftly reclaim its position as one of Atlanta's social and commercial hotspots. Our conference room is ideal for business meetings, while the upstairs lounge, kitchen, and patio are excellent spaces for socializing and enjoying drinks. Customers who have hosted graduation parties, corporate breakfasts and events, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, baby showers, non-profit activities and even modest weddings have enjoyed our services in the past. Although it is the most capacious option available, it is not suitable for hosting exceptionally large gatherings. Parties of approximately 100 persons will fill the venue. Our conference table can comfortably accommodate up to 22 people; however, many parties find that buffet-style events are a fantastic fit for the mood and are highly recommended. Puritan Chemical Company built and operated The Foundry at Puritan Mill, which opened its doors in 1921 and is still in operation today. A variety of cleaning goods, including Puritan soap, were created and stored in the facility until they were sent out through the nearby Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It was here that Puritan Chemical Company's Atlanta headquarters was located from 1946 to 1996. The property was bought by Urban Realty Partners and Weaver & Woodbery Company in 2000 with the intention of restoring it and converting it into a mixed-use site. The Foundry, with its 12,000 square feet of floor area, is a wonderfully striking and adaptable event venue. Original wood beams, spacious skylights, and polished concrete floors create a backdrop rich with character and history, highlighting the industrial past and vibrant present of Atlanta's popular Westside neighborhood and its surrounding neighborhoods. The renovated 1908 brick and beam building features 8,000 square ft of double-height conditioned interior event space, 4,000 square ft of covered patio space, and an adjoining 10,000 square ft courtyard in front. The space is operated by Novare Events, Atlanta’s premier events company, and is sure to be a must-see venue for all kinds of gatherings including weddings, city wides, festivals, large cocktail, as well as others with the use of the entirety of the space.
