George and Judy Lee, with the help of Skip Engelbrecht, founded La Maison Rouge in 1995. Located in the center of Paris on Ponce, which has been a prominent shopping destination in midtown Atlanta for more than 30 years. The extravagant and lavish furnishings were gathered from abroad buying trips, mansions in Georgia, and we are especially privileged to have some pieces from Coretta Scott's and Dr. Martin Luther King's homes. We've staged countless festivities, fundraisers, and events over the previous 25 years. On the 100th anniversary of the building's construction, a fire broke out on Ponce de Leon on Thanksgiving Eve, 2019. The cause is unknown, but despite the enormous destruction, much of the furniture and the heart of La Maison Rouge were spared. We never imagined we'd be able to locate anything as special as our Midtown apartment, but we did! The Healey Building, where we now reside, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1913, it's a magnificent neo-gothic marble structure with a stunning entry rotunda that we can use in addition to our new area. We now have a greater capacity and more availability for smaller events thanks to the new space, which is about double the size of our prior location. Furthermore, we are no longer limited to merely holding evening activities. We may now host events at any time! If you liked our prior location in Midtown, you'll adore our new digs.

The historic campus of Agnes Scott College has several lovely spots for your big day. The Julia Thompson Smith Chapel, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is an intimate room for ceremonies. You can also host your ceremony and reception at Letitia Pate Evans Hall, which has a stunning grand staircase and a ceiling that will take your breath away. Whatever vision you have for your wedding, we have the perfect setting to make it a reality. Weddings, parties, and commitment ceremonies can be held at one of three gorgeous settings. Now is the time to start planning your big day at Agnes Scott! Our campus, located just six miles east of Atlanta in trendy yet quaint Decatur, is well-known for its unique beauty. The college's 100-acre woodland grounds, which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are home to century-old Gothic and Victorian structures. Corporate events and meetings, non-profit fundraisers, plays, summer camps, and more can all be held here! Sun in my Belly, which occupies the area formerly occupied by Bailey & Sons Hardware, is charming and unique. We have three places available, each of which can be rented separately or as a whole. We've hosted weddings, birthday parties, corporate meetings, and concerts in our space, and we love seeing the personal touches that our guests bring with them for their important occasions. Sun in my Belly is located in Kirkwood, a short walk from the East Lake Marta station, in a former hardware store where chef Alison used to shop when SIMB was in its beginnings. It is divided into three sections: front, center, and salon. All three are for rent, as well as a whole restaurant buyout. Nina and Rafi is a neighborhood pizza business located on the Atlanta Beltline. Pizza and Italian-style pub meals are served, and a complete bar is available, including an extensive amaro collection. We have a huge patio with plenty of seats. We do not take bookings at this time. It is our policy to operate in a CASHLESS environment. We are a rustic Italian restaurant and pizzeria that also serves brunch. The Detroit-style pizza served here has developed a cult following, and the drinks served here are among the most inventive on the BeltLine. A rustic Italian diner atmosphere is created inside the restaurant with red-leather banquettes and an open kitchen, while black walls, industrial light fixtures, and damaged mirrors provide an element of modernity to the space. The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception stands as Atlanta's most historic church, originally built in 1848 to serve workers constructing the railroad that gave the city its name. One of the only original structures to survive the burning of Atlanta during the Civil War — spared after a direct appeal to General Sherman — the Shrine is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to welcome couples from across the country and around the world to celebrate their marriages within its walls. The sanctuary is a dramatic setting for wedding ceremonies. A long center aisle anchors the processional, while soaring ceilings adorned with hand-painted artwork, classic marble altars, and stained glass windows that catch the sunlight create an atmosphere few Atlanta venues can match.
