The Lincoln Parish Library Events Center is a standalone event facility operated by Lincoln Parish Library in Ruston, Louisiana, offering adaptable spaces for a wide range of gatherings — from weddings and galas to corporate meetings and community celebrations. The center's largest space, the Ruston Room, spans 6,765 square feet and provides access to restrooms and food preparation areas. The Grambling Room offers 2,335 square feet connected directly to the lobby and adjacent public restrooms. Three additional rooms — the Simsboro, Choudrant, and Dubach Rooms — can be configured individually or combined via moveable walls for up to 3,010 square feet of flexible space; the Dubach Room features a raised stage and food preparation area. All smaller rooms are equipped with projector screens. The facility includes dressing rooms and private bathrooms with showers, along with lighting arrangements and sound management systems. In 2013, Mark Falgout and Nicole LeBlanc purchased the building and spent two years carefully renovating it while preserving its historic character and original structure. The venue offers four distinct spaces suited to a wide range of occasions, from large corporate functions to intimate wedding celebrations. The Main Event Room is the largest indoor space, combining modern features with warm, historic charm. The Rhum Room, centered around a horseshoe bar and star-shaped lighting, suits smaller gatherings or can serve as an adjoining space for larger events. The Brass Room accommodates mid-size events, corporate meetings, and live music. The Lawn provides outdoor space anchored by a gazebo, used for ceremonies, festivals, and concerts alongside the indoor areas. Steinhatchee Landing Resort occupies 35 acres along the Steinhatchee River in Steinhatchee, Florida, where the river winds toward the Gulf through a landscape of moss-draped oaks and towering pines. The property features 23 cottages in Victorian, Florida Cracker, and Georgian architectural styles, making it a full-destination resort for weddings, family reunions, and corporate retreats. For events, the resort offers the Gulf Coast Conference Center — a Georgian-style building with 1,800 square feet of function space accommodating up to 90 guests. The center features a wood-burning fireplace, chandelier lighting, a stage with sound system, and a separate bar area, and is suited to wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, seminars, and private dinners. The 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA is a square-rigged iron barque, restored in 1982 and now a floating museum that still actively sails — one of only three ships of her kind in the world to do so. Berthed at the Galveston Historic Seaport, she is a National Historic Landmark and the Official Tall Ship of Texas, a symbol of the Gulf Coast's beginnings as a seaport that welcomes more than 40,000 visitors each year. For private events, the ship and museum site offer a romantic waterfront setting, with moonlight silhouetting the masts. Guests have access to ELISSA's decks, galleries, officers' quarters, and galley — used as a serving area or bar — along with the museum's pier, galleries, and restrooms. The site accommodates up to 500 guests across the ship and museum, or 300 for a seated dinner on the pier, making it well suited to weddings, receptions, and social gatherings. The San Fernando Ballroom accommodates up to 500 guests for a seated dinner without a dance floor, or 400 with one, and features a 34.5-by-19-foot porcelain tile dance floor along with an adjoining courtyard that holds another 150 guests. The Rooftop Terrace and La Sala offer an open-air alternative, seating 80 to 90 guests or hosting cocktail-style receptions for about 120, while the adjacent Cathedral Centre Hall provides a smaller, Wi-Fi-equipped setting for up to 100 guests. Maison Soule & The Paris Room occupies a 22-room historic mansion at 720 Saint Louis Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, just steps from Bourbon Street. Built beginning in 1829 by French emigre Pierre Soule — a Louisiana U.S. Senator and criminal lawyer who died in the mansion's third-floor bedroom in 1870 — the property has served as an elegant manor, an orphan asylum, a jazz parlor, and a family-owned restaurant over nearly two centuries. The Paris Room, on the mansion's second floor, is available for private events of all kinds. Its ballroom features 18-foot ceilings, a private street balcony, a garden terrace, a spiral staircase, a full private bar, and a commercial kitchen.
