Inn at Mystic is a historic waterfront resort set on fourteen acres overlooking Mystic Harbor and Fishers Island Sound in Mystic, Connecticut. Once a private estate, the property has been welcoming guests for over fifty years and bills itself as Connecticut's most historic hotel. At the heart of the resort stands the Haley Mansion, a Colonial Revival home built in 1904 by Katherine Haley and positioned above the Mystic River with views extending to Long Island Sound. The mansion retains its original character — 18th-century pine paneling sourced from an English Duke's estate, hand-carved fireplaces, and Dutch tilework — alongside formal gardens, a waterfall, and a meadow pond that provide a natural backdrop for ceremonies and photography. A 36-by-36-foot tented terrace built of Polopai wood with heating extends the mansion's event season year-round. The Haley Mansion accommodates up to 230 guests for seated events or 290 for cocktail receptions, and has hosted formal celebrations for more than a century. The on-site Rocks 21 Restaurant & Raw Bar, a waterfront venue serving seasonal cuisine and 24 craft beers on tap, offers semi-private dining rooms suited for rehearsal dinners and smaller gatherings. Dedicated wedding managers and an executive chef coordinate everything from ceremony through reception, and 52 guest rooms and suites on the property keep out-of-town guests close at hand.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and recognized by Select Registry Distinguished Inns of North America, the inn blends period architecture — wide-plank floors, stone walls, a working fireplace — with fully renovated accommodations across ten guest rooms. The estate offers multiple event settings for weddings, elopements, and private gatherings. The Yellow Barn accommodates ceremonies and receptions for up to 75 guests, while the intimate stone-walled dining room in the 1807 House hosts seated dinners and gatherings of up to 45. For larger celebrations, the Grand Affair tent on the manicured lawn expands capacity to 125 guests, surrounded by koi ponds, terraced gardens, and centuries-old stone walls. Built in 1822, the Aldrich House is a National Historic Landmark located on the beautiful and historic East Side of Providence. The house was presented to the Rhode Island Historical Society in 1974 by the heirs of Winthrop W. Aldrich, a former Ambassador to Great Britain, and it also serves as the Rhode Island Historical Society headquarters, hosting RIHS special events and programs by appointment. Robert S. Burroughs hired noted Rhode Island architect John Holden Greene to build the house in 1821; it was completed in 1822, the same year the Rhode Island Historical Society was founded. The Aldrich family later shaped national history from this address: Nelson W. Aldrich rose to the U.S. Senate in 1881 and helped lay the groundwork for the Federal Reserve, his daughter Abby married John D. Rockefeller Jr., and their son, Vice President Nelson Rockefeller, was named after him. During World War II, another daughter, Lucy Aldrich, sheltered Scottish evacuee children at the house.
