Nestled along the banks of the Nunckatessett River in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the Nunckatessett Canoe Club was originally built in 1904 as a storage facility for 63 canoes. It offered members a place to keep their canoes while enjoying the scenic beauty of the river and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. In 1915, the club relocated and expanded, adding a second story to accommodate more canoes and a spacious assembly hall for dancing. Unfortunately, just two years later, the new building was destroyed by a fire. Despite this setback, the Nunckatessett Canoe Club became a popular venue for large social gatherings and dances over the following decades. It hosted legendary performers like Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, and Rosemary Clooney, making it a cherished spot for music and celebration.

The Theatre’s renovations are extensive for both inside and outside of the building and have been made to create the ultimate event experience. There is a brand new raised stage and also previous obstructions on the ground have been removed, in order to give customers the best possible site views to the stage. The stage will have a brand new state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. Artists will have all new dressing rooms to better accommodate their visit. Patrons can enjoy upgraded mezzanine and balcony seating, remodeled VIP areas, multi leveled open room format as well as brand new restrooms and so much more. The Theatre will also soon be receiving a facelift on the front of the building with a new marquee installed in December of 2017. Woodbine Cottage is a historic 5,000-square-foot Victorian mansion in the heart of downtown Newport, Rhode Island. Built in 1873, it was originally the private residence of George Champlin Mason, Newport's first resident architect, who trained in Switzerland, France, and Germany before going on to design roughly 150 Gilded Age mansions throughout the city. The 23-room house has been restored and retains its period character, with each guest room individually appointed to reflect the home's history. Today the cottage hosts corporate gatherings, wedding parties, birthday and bachelor or bachelorette celebrations, reunions, and holiday parties for groups up to 150 people. Standard accommodations comfortably house 12 to 20 guests, with tables and chairs on hand for up to 20. For weddings, Woodbine Cottage offers wedding planning and event planning services and is within walking distance of several other Newport venues, including the Chanler at Cliff Walk, the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and the Newport Art Museum.
