WEDDINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS IN THE GARDEN We know a little little about birds and bees. The craziness of the day collides with the tranquility of the garden. The Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden, with its lovely garden and historic mansion, is the perfect setting to take in the sights and sounds of your wedding day or special celebration. In the heart of ancient Palo Alto, we can accommodate an intimate celebration of up to 50 people. For your ceremony, choose from the Rose Garden, Wisteria Garden, or Tea House Patio, as well as reception space in the Carriage House or Tea House Patio. Our event coordinator can assist you in putting together the perfect gathering. RENTAL DETAILS With over 20 years of expertise at Gamble Garden, our wedding/event coordinator will assist you with the planning of your special event. Gamble Garden can host groups of up to 50 people and is available for rental Monday through Friday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday. You and your guests will enjoy the first floor of the Main House, which includes the Dining Room, Living Room, and Library with veranda; the Carriage House and Carriage House Patio; and the Tea House and Tea House Patio when you choose Gamble Garden for your special occasion. Within your rental area are the Rose Garden, the Allée, and the Wisteria Garden, all of which are perfect for photography at any time of year. For non-profits, we are glad to offer a special weekday rental rate; please call for further information. There is a discount if you book an event within 30 days of the event date. Our setting is ideal for a wedding or any special occasion! Weddings, concerts, parties, corporate meetings, and other social gatherings are all held at our venue. Weddings: Our Sanctuary, which seats 300 people comfortably and has good acoustics and lovely stained glass windows, is noted for its outstanding acoustics and stunning stained glass windows. There is a grand piano in the Sanctuary, as well as a Letourneau Pipe Organ with approximately 3,000 pipes. We can supply a minister for your ceremony, or you are free to bring your own officiant who is ordained in the Christian tradition. Harmony Hall can hold up to 230 people for a banquet-style supper and has a catering kitchen that you can hire. The Hall is equipped with a sound system, a grand piano, bathrooms, and access to the courtyard. The Courtyard is a beautiful setting for a small wedding, cocktail hour, or outdoor dinner for up to 100 people. The Courtyard, with Japanese maples and blossoming pear trees, the spacious front lawn with the church as a backdrop, and our memorial garden, with a patterned glass wall, a mosaic labyrinth, and native flora, are all beautiful photography sites. For out-of-town visitors, our church offers abundant parking with both accessible parking spots and electric charging stations, and is easily accessible from HWY 101. The First Congregational Church of Palo Alto is an Open and Affirming congregation, which means that we make a public covenant of welcome into our full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Our ministers are happy to work with you to arrange a wedding ceremony that reflects your faith and your unique relationship to one another. ABOUT MENLO CIRCUS CLUB A group of young girls met on an Atherton Estate around 1920 to ride their horses and play. These girls created a "club" and decided to put on a circus for the delight of their parents, friends, and neighbors, as young children do. The mother of one of the girls, Mrs. W. B. Weir, offered that the revenues of the circus be donated to the Stanford Convalescent Home (now known as Lucile Packard Children's Hospital). The first circus was hosted on the W. B. Weir property at Middlefield Road and Glenwood Avenue in the summer of 1920. Youngsters rode their own horses and ponies, while others brought along pet cats, goats, and dogs that they had trained to perform stunts. The Stanford Convalescent Home received $500 from the first circus. The circus flourished the following year. Adults turned the circus into a social gathering, attracting visitors from as far north as San Francisco and south as San Jose. The circus grew in size, as did the social event, in the third year, and it became clear to parents that the circus had overrun the two fields. Land was purchased in the fall of 1922 for the creation of the Menlo Circus Club, which was formed the following year. AVAILABLE EVENT SPACES The Menlo Circus Club, located in the heart of Atherton, provides welcoming and gracious accommodations for private events such as Weddings, Holiday Gatherings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Class Reunions, Birthday Parties, and Cocktail Receptions. The large entrance immediately sets a classy tone that is appropriate for any occasion. For your event, the Clubhouse can accommodate up to 350 people. Each suite boasts a different view of the Club's lushly maintained grounds. Our beautiful dishes have been painstakingly picked by our amazing culinary experts, and we provide private outdoor events overlooking one of the Bay Area's finest Polo Fields.

Our excellent hospitality, comfortable surroundings, and delectable cuisine ensure that your occasion is one to remember. The semi-private Mezzanine, which is located on the higher level and overlooks the Main Dining Room below, has exposed brick walls and wide arched windows in a loft-like atmosphere. If needed, heavy curtains and bespoke shoji screens can be closed for seclusion. The Wine Library, located on the restaurant's lower level, is ideal for groups of 10 to 70 people. There is a built-in wireless AV system as well as private men's and women's rooms in the room. As guests arrive, our huge floor-to-ceiling wine exhibit is the focal point, and wine is a recurring element throughout the space. Mitchell Park Community Center is a LEED Platinum-certified civic facility located at 3700 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto, California. Opened in December 2014, the 15,000-square-foot community center sits within a 41,000-square-foot campus shared with the Mitchell Park Library, adjacent to the green space of Mitchell Park. Designed by Group 4 Architecture, the building features large expanses of glass, rose-colored stone, and sustainable systems including vegetated roofs and solar photovoltaics — architecture that reflects the community's commitment to environmental stewardship. The center offers six rentable event rooms ranging from intimate meeting spaces to a flexible ballroom-style hall. The flagship El Palo Alto Room spans 3,000 square feet and accommodates up to 250 dining guests or 500 standing, while smaller rooms including the Adobe and Matadero suites seat up to 90 and support classroom, meeting, and workshop formats. An on-site kitchen is available for rental alongside event spaces, and the facility offers digital projection equipment and a grand piano for event use. Mitchell Park Community Center hosts weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, community gatherings, and private celebrations, with resident, non-resident, and non-profit rental tiers available through the City of Palo Alto's Community Services Department.

The Los Altos History Museum occupies a unique corner of Los Altos, California — one of the few remaining apricot orchards in the Santa Clara Valley. Opened in 2001 on a publicly accessible campus at 51 S. San Antonio Road, the museum's three-level, 8,200-square-foot main building was constructed entirely with private donations before ownership transferred to the City of Los Altos in 2002. The museum campus encompasses the main building, which houses rotating and permanent exhibitions, and the J. Gilbert Smith House — a restored 1905 farmhouse set across a landscaped courtyard. Gardens and grounds connect the historic structures and remain open to the public even when the buildings are closed. For private events, the museum offers both indoor and outdoor rental spaces: the garden setting among heritage oak trees and the remaining apricot orchard, and the main gallery inside the period building. The Rengstorff House is the oldest historic house in Mountain View, California, and is a classic example of Victorian Italianate architecture seen on the West Coast. This venue has been lovingly refurbished while maintaining its historic appearance and atmosphere. Throughout the year, the Rengstorff House organizes a number of events, including an annual Spring tea, Christmas parties, and numerous Halloween/haunted events. Except during public hours, the Rengstorff House and gardens are available for rental every day to hold any occasion such as a dinner meeting, wedding, rehearsal dinner, or family get-together. With seating for up to 150 people, The Rengstorff House can accommodate small to big gatherings. At The Rengstorff House, work with our staff to create the event of your dreams. As soon as you step onto the grounds of the historic property, you will be struck by the place's distinct personality as well as its simple elegance. San Mateo County History Museum occupies the restored historic courthouse at 2200 Broadway in downtown Redwood City, a landmark Beaux-Arts building with a stained glass dome, mosaic tile floors, and stately marble columns. The museum has been operated by the San Mateo County Historical Association since 1935 and holds accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums — a distinction held since 1972, placing it among fewer than 5% of accredited museums in the United States. The courthouse offers several distinct rental spaces for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations. The First Floor Rotunda accommodates up to 200 guests beneath its magnificent domed ceiling, and is well suited for ceremonies, receptions, and dancing. Courtroom A, a magnificently restored courtroom with its own stained glass ceiling, hosts seated dinners of up to 150 guests. The venue also offers a Carriage House with a catering kitchen, a meeting room, and an option to rent the entire courthouse for larger events. In-house catering is not provided; the museum maintains an approved caterer list. An A/V system is available in Courtroom A.

An alternative backdrop for a cozy and intimate reception is provided by the rustic beauty of our country-style lodge, which is available as an option. We celebrate a wide range of different cultural and lifestyle ceremonies, and we encourage you to bring your own rituals and traditions with you as well. The Mountain Terrace is the perfect setting for you to celebrate your special day in the manner to which you are most comfortable. A morning wedding ceremony at the Mountain Terrace is one of the few options available on the San Francisco Peninsula, and we are pleased to be one of the few venues that can accommodate this request. This option is ideal for brides and grooms who will be hosting a banquet at another location. On the lawn, we can accommodate up to 400 guests for seated meals.
