During your stay at the Lord Thompson Manor, we will provide you and your guests with a private environment in which you can use the Manor and Cottage House for your Rehearsal Dinner, Late Night Gathering, Spa Treatment, Wedding Reception, After Party, and Farewell Breakfast over the weekend. In order to make each of these Wedding weekend events truly extraordinary, we believe that four key elements must be present: food, staff, on-site planning and coordination, and romance. When it comes to a wedding reception at the Lord Thompson Manor, the flow is designed to create a party atmosphere rather than a traditional "sit-down" reception style. Starting with a Champagne toast, which is typically held on our Side Garden Balcony following your ceremony, your reception will get underway! Following the toast, cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres are served throughout the Manor, encouraging your guests to mingle and explore the grounds of the estate. Your guests will be seated in the Dining Rooms for a dinner that will include our Chef's Duo Entree Plate. After only about an hour, we begin the first dance, Cake Cutting, or any other formalities you wish to include, in order to get your guests up and out of their dining tables and into the Conservatory for the reception. For the remainder of the Reception, the Music takes it away from you. Cake, coffee, and dessert are served at Stations, eliminating the need for your guests to return to their formal tables after the meal is finished. Your guests will be active participants throughout the evening rather than passive observers at their tables, which is exactly how we like our parties.

Stepping Stone Ranch is a 118-acre working farm and equestrian facility in rural West Greenwich, Rhode Island, established in the mid-1950s by the Davis family and under Waldron family ownership since 1995. Over the decades the ranch has hosted thousands of guests and celebrity performances, and was named a Yankee Editor's Choice, Best of New England pick in 2011. Alongside its riding lessons, clinics, boarding, and summer camp programs, the ranch hosts weddings and special events in rustic, shabby-chic indoor and outdoor spaces. Preston Ridge Vineyard is a working estate winery and event venue set on 60 acres in Preston, Connecticut, roughly 15 miles from Long Island Sound. Founded in 2008 by the Sawyers and Helms families and open to the public since October 2012, the property centers on a New England gambrel-style barn with a wraparound deck overlooking the vineyard rows and surrounding landscape. The venue hosts weddings, corporate functions, bridal showers, and private parties across several spaces: the barn and grounds accommodate ceremonies and receptions for up to 150 guests, while the tasting room seats up to 50 guests for intimate gatherings and expands to 100 when the deck is combined. For larger events, a seasonal tented lower green extends capacity to 175 guests. Weddings include use of the tasting room and deck for cocktail hour, a dressing suite, tables and chairs, parking attendants, and grounds access for photography and videography. The vineyard's own estate and varietal wines — reds, whites, and rosés — are available throughout, making it a natural fit for celebrations that want the feel of a working farm winery.
