Puritan Chemical Company built and operated The Foundry at Puritan Mill, which opened its doors in 1921 and is still in operation today. A variety of cleaning goods, including Puritan soap, were created and stored in the facility until they were sent out through the nearby Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It was here that Puritan Chemical Company's Atlanta headquarters was located from 1946 to 1996. The property was bought by Urban Realty Partners and Weaver & Woodbery Company in 2000 with the intention of restoring it and converting it into a mixed-use site. The Foundry, with its 12,000 square feet of floor area, is a wonderfully striking and adaptable event venue. Original wood beams, spacious skylights, and polished concrete floors create a backdrop rich with character and history, highlighting the industrial past and vibrant present of Atlanta's popular Westside neighborhood and its surrounding neighborhoods. The expansive interior provides adequate space for the setup of practically any event, from formal weddings to high-energy social gatherings, and can accommodate up to 500 guests.

Miller Union is named after the former Miller Union Stockyards that occupied one full city block in Atlanta’s old meatpacking district in the 1880s. The stockyard building suffered a fire after the turn of the century and was later replaced with an industrial warehouse, typical of the time period. Miller Union, the restaurant, was founded in 2009 by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy in the refurbished warehouse that sits on the former site and has since contributed to the evolution of the neighborhood. They created a rustic, yet modern atmosphere with a respect for the history of the neighborhood, and an anchor for the emerging one. Miller Union has since become an Atlanta mainstay. Satterfield cooks in an organic way by reacting to the ever-changing harvest of the seasons. The restaurant embodies an authentic approach to farmstead-inspired cooking, in which ingredients drive the menu. At a wedding ceremony or reception we offer a beautiful setting that is perfect for formal ceremonies. We at JCT Kitchen offer a semi-private dining space that can seat up to 50 guests. JCT also offers partial floor to ceiling curtains for an intimate yet inclusive ambiance for rehearsal and seated dinners. A pre-set menu and beverage packages or an open bar are also available within the space. JCT. Kitchen & Bar, which first opened its doors in 2007, has become a beloved institution in the thriving West Midtown area. When hosting wedding ceremonies, JCT. Kitchen & Bar can accommodate up to 150 people, and when hosting receptions, they can accommodate up to 225 people in a stunning environment that is ideal for both formal and casual festivities. With unmatchable skyline views of midtown and downtown, this historic building was originally home to Gulf Oil Company in the 1920s and has been lovingly restored to it’s original splendor. The venue is composed of 2 levels of open event space as well a large outdoor courtyard. The main room is 3,600 square feet of chic industrial space with pristine hardwood floors in a chevron pattern. The walls are antique brick with three sides of expansive windows. A tall curved pine ceiling is finished by two ornate iron chandeliers. Take the elevator or the stairs to the lower level where we have an additional 3,600 square feet of event space that includes a furnished lounge area and a beautiful built-in bar. In 2011, when one of Atlanta's most celebrated and talented NBA players, Kevin Willis #42, teamed up with an award-winning and seasoned Los Angeles event designer/planner, they created a highly styled and vibrant event space! 42West Entertainment Group's event venue has emerged as one of Atlanta's most sought-after exclusive hot spots thanks to a clear aesthetic vision and nearly three decades of entertainment and celebrity-focused event experience. Event environments that are luxurious, exclusive, and creative are enhanced by the use of exquisite elements. 42West Entertainment Group extends a warm welcome. In terms of giving back to the communities in which they live, Kevin and Lauren have been at it for a long time. Between them, Kevin and Lauren have invested their hearts and souls into the underserved populations of inner cities all across the United States. They were able to create what is perhaps the most unique aspect of 42West Entertainment Group as a result of their non-profit experience. The duo came to the conclusion that the only way they could devote their full attention to an event space was to ensure that it included a significant give-back program. This will result in the donation of 42West to non-profit organizations in the metro Atlanta area at no cost to the organizations. Additionally, prime dates and times will be made available, as opposed to other event venues that tend to offer small discounts only on undesirable days and times of the week, as is the case with other venues. For more than a decade, SweetWater Brewery has been brewing delicious beers in the heart of the South. We like to say at SweetWater that we're not here for a long time, but rather that we're here for a good time. It's not simply something we say, though; it's also how we conduct our lives. Remember, don't stray too far from the mainstream as we all find our way through life, and drink 'em if you got 'em. Our barrel aging program, which is based in The Woodlands, allows our brewers to make tiny batches of sour, funky, or otherwise excellent beers in limited amounts. With six 88-liter foeders (wooden fermenting pots) and hundreds of barrels loaded with everything from blackberry sours to Belgian-style ales maturing in tequila barrels, the Woodlands is just next door to the main production brewery at 195 Ottley Street in Atlanta. The casual classic, complete with a spacious outside terrace. Our original tasting room, which has developed alongside us, is crammed with SweetWater trinkets and memorabilia that celebrates 24 years of delicious brews. Outside, you'll find a large patio with plenty of space for both two- and four-legged friends, as well as a stage where you can catch some live music. An expensive location with a view of the bottling line level below. You can look down on the action from this spacious upper area, or you may take in some fresh air on the exterior balcony. While we were immersed in the virtual world, new event spaces in Atlanta opened their doors to provide us with new opportunities to come together to celebrate and perhaps even share hugs. Here are three of our favorite new venues for hosting corporate and social events alike, all of which have recently opened their doors. Guardian Works is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the public from harm. What it is is as follows: Guardian Works at Echo Street West is a 19-acre development on the Atlanta BeltLine's Westside Trail that is operated by Novare Events and is home to a variety of events. Condos, a hotel, offices, and other amenities are also available on the property. It has a rustic feel to it, but it also has high-end amenities. This mixed-use development has it all, which is why we love it! The Guardian Works event space, with its renovated brick-and-beam structure and double-height interior, is also a hit with attendees. The 1908 building, which has 8,000 square feet of interior space, also has 4,000 square feet of covered patio space and a 10,000-square-foot courtyard, among other amenities. It's not difficult to see that the possibilities for events are virtually limitless. The number of guests who will be accommodated is: Guardian Works at Echo Street West has a capacity of up to 1,200 guests and offers a variety of different space options. Bishop Station is a station in the city of Bishop, in the province of Durham. What it is: Bishop Station is a new venue operated by Novare Events that opened its doors recently. It is centrally located in Midtown, making it accessible to many parts of the city while remaining away from major thoroughfares, giving it a sense of seclusion. Built in the 1920s as a Gulf Oil Company building, it features original design elements that have been updated with modern amenities. What we like about it: The combination of the old and the new in this industrial space is a visual treat to behold. Antique brick walls enclose a 3,600-square-foot main event space that includes hardwood chevron flooring, a curved pine ceiling, and eye-catching iron chandeliers, among other amenities. During the day, the venue's massive windows along the perimeter let in plenty of natural light, while in the evening, the venue provides spectacular views of Midtown and Downtown Atlanta's skylines. It is possible to double the square footage of event space by adding two additional levels. Additional features include a furnished lounge, a built-in bar, and a spacious outdoor courtyard. Bishop Station can accommodate up to 300 guests in its interior space of 7,200 square feet and a generous outdoor courtyard.
