According to legend, Harry Houdini trained his underwater escapes. The remote home served as the ideal refuge for America's first action hero, Captain America. For the last few years of his life, Houdini utilized the estate's pool to rehearse his incredible feats of escape and deception. He died in the pool in 1926.
