Weddings: Your Palm Beach County park system offers many beautiful outdoor locations for your special occasion. General rules for beach or open grass ceremonies: - There will be no extra charge for a wedding ceremony, nor will a permit be issued for a beach or open grass area. Please note this activity does not provide exclusive access to any area and must not compromise the use of a reserved area by any permit holder. - Wedding ceremonies held on the beach or open grass area must be small intimate gatherings consisting of the bridal party, official and a few guests. - No equipment such as chairs, structures, sound equipment, etc. are permitted to be set up on the beach or open grass area for the ceremony. Hand-held umbrellas are allowed. - Small wedding ceremonies may take place on the beach or an open grass area prior to 8:30am or after 5:00pm and within park operational hours, (sunrise to sunset). These ceremonies may have a maximum duration of twenty minutes. - If your ceremony includes a professional photographer, a daily or annual permit​ is required. - Requests for permits to conduct larger wedding ceremonies and/or a reception will be accommodated at rental facilities​ only. If unavailable, an alternate date or location would need to be considered for permitting. This 1926 construction (previously known as the Vintage Gymnasium) was renovated to maintain its original charm. The hefty wood beams, which appear to be frozen in time, still contain the markings of students who ventured to climb up and scrawl their names in chalk. The Fieldhouse was originally a separate structure that was linked to the Crest Theatre's backstage section during renovation. The original backboards are still in place, even though the Fieldhouse is no longer used for athletic activities. The loft, which previously housed bleacher seating for the "away" teams, now serves as a place to sit or showcase items. The former locker rooms have been transformed into luxurious restrooms. The Fieldhouse has become a popular location for private and community gatherings, as well as other creative endeavors. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be requested by filling out a Special Events Request Form. Room arrangements are flexible; please discuss your needs with the Library's Event Coordinator. ROOMS WILL BE SHOWN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Rental Fees: Non-Profit Organizations (501(c) certificate required; 66% of the membership must reside within City limits; may book a space once per month for a maximum of 12 meetings per calendar year; if additional space is needed, it may be booked at the non-profit non-resident rates).
