It's like receiving an unexpected surprise when you visit the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens. This stunning event property, only minutes from downtown Los Angeles and right over the Los Angeles River, will fit many a bride's fantasy wedding destination. The Center is a well-kept secret, concealed behind ivy-covered walls. The entry is marked by a broad, circular brick driveway with a spreading ficus tree in the center, and the first look of the fountains, flowers, and serenity within is through the arched, wrought-iron gate. The courtyard at the entrance is a lovely way to begin your visit to the Center, but the carved wooden doors in the back soon draw you into the Main Courtyard, which is the perfect setting for a special occasion. The arcaded terraces of the Center's buildings surround the multi-level plaza on three sides. The breeze rustles the pepper trees, as roses, agapanthus, and daylilies soak up the sun in the beds. A three-tiered fountain sits in the midst of a tiled reflecting pool, surrounded on all four sides by terra cotta pots filled with flowers. An arched gateway in a stucco wall leads from the Main courtyard to the San Fernando Courtyard, another spacious patio with an adjoining lawn. This patio is dappled in shade and has a calm dignity thanks to a great old ficus tree. The lawn, which is surrounded by tree-lined walls, is frequently utilized for ceremonies, while the patio can be used for meals or dancing. The San Fernando Courtyard is its own private little universe, bordered on one side by the California Building and on the other three by high walls. The California Building is used for indoor events and major meetings. A Mexican-tile floor, arched windows, and a large, peaked roof flood the main event space with natural light. Tables and chairs are arranged beneath the skylight, with additional sitting accessible on the second-story walkway that circles the area. Smaller meetings and conferences can be held in the Los Feliz Room.

Come celebrate a special family occasion with us. Located at the historic crossroads of PCH and Sunset Blvd—where the sun meets the sea—this hotel offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Serving our all-day lunch and dinner menu, as well as in-person eating in both the outdoor and indoor settings, starting at 11 a.m. daily! Gladstones is a great place to host your next event. While being one of the most iconic beachside eating venues, Gladstones Malibu is also home to two beautiful Beachfront Private Event Spaces with some of the most spectacular views available anywhere in Los Angeles. No matter if you're arranging an intimate dinner party, a wedding, or any type of special event, we would be delighted to assist you. Luminarias, located on the hilltop of Monterey Park, has been serving authentic Mexican cuisine to local families for more than 40 years. Luminarias is a spectacular sight to behold, both during the day when it is surrounded by breathtaking views of the San Gabriel Valley and at night when it is illuminated by dazzling lanterns. An impressive entryway greets visitors as they enter the Spanish-style hacienda, which is adorned with vibrant Latin décor, lush tropical greenery, arched doorways, cobblestone paths, a waterfall, pond, old world fireplace, and an impressive waterfall. Decoration for a birthday You are welcome to bring your own decorations as long as they are in keeping with the design language of the venue, which is gold, black, and emerald green. Pío Pico State Historic Park preserves the restored adobe home of Pío de Jesus Pico, the last Mexican governor of California, on a five-acre property in Whittier that was once part of his 9,000-acre Rancho Paso de Bartolo. The site is registered as California Historic Landmark No. 127 and offers a rare window into mid-19th-century California history. The grounds feature the fifteen-room adobe residence with interpretive displays, a traditional horno (bread oven), a dovecote, and historic gardens — making it a distinctive outdoor setting for weddings, ceremonies, and private events. The property is ADA accessible and includes restrooms, parking, and picnic areas. Special events are coordinated through the Los Angeles District Special Events team, and the park's events team handles availability, pricing, and permitting for private rentals.

The Houdini Estate®, built in the Edwardian manner in the early 1900s, still contains its caverns, underground passages, terraced gardens, and a deep-water tank where he performed his illusions. According to legend, Harry Houdini trained his underwater escapes. The remote home served as the ideal refuge for America's first action hero, Captain America. For the last few years of his life, Houdini utilized the estate's pool to rehearse his incredible feats of escape and deception. He died in the pool in 1926. The property where Houdini's wife, Bess, hosted a memorable party for 500 magicians and lived for ten years after her husband's death still carries the enchantment and mystery of "The Handcuff King." Because of its location at the intersection of Greenleaf Avenue and Hadley Street, which served as the site of the original Whittier Town Center, it was referred to as the "Four Bricks" by residents of the community.
