Set on a landmark campus at 1535 Santa Barbara Street in downtown Santa Barbara, the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara has been welcoming celebrations since its mission-style buildings were constructed in 1930. The historic venue features a soaring 50-foot sanctuary with original wooden pews, chic stained-glass panels, a rose window, and a 1,500-pipe organ — architecture that gives even the simplest ceremony a sense of occasion. Four distinct event spaces accommodate gatherings of every scale, from micro-weddings of under 30 guests to full campus buyouts for up to 285. The Sanctuary and Parish Hall offer refined interior settings, while the Parish Courtyard — with its fountains and evening lighting — and the Jefferson Courtyard provide open-air alternatives for receptions and ceremonies alike. The Unitarian Society is open to couples and groups of any faith, background, or orientation. Rentals include an onsite event assistant, one rehearsal hour in the Sanctuary, and access to a full commercial kitchen for licensed caterers. Table, chair, and lighting packages are available as add-ons.

The A.C. Postel Memorial Rose Garden — also known as the Mission Rose Garden — is an outdoor event venue managed by the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department. The garden sits within Mission Historical Park in Santa Barbara's upper Eastside neighborhood, adjacent to the historic Santa Barbara Mission and bounded by Los Olivos and Laguna Streets. Spanning approximately 2,000 square feet of open lawn and garden, the space accommodates up to 50 guests for small wedding ceremonies and private gatherings. More than 1,500 rose plants representing over 1,000 varieties surround the gathering area, with many labeled for identification. The garden is designated as an All-American Rose Selections demonstration garden and reaches peak bloom from spring through fall, with blooms unavailable between January and March during annual winter pruning. Paved and hard-packed paths throughout the garden are wheelchair accessible, and benches are provided throughout the space. Permits are required through the Parks and Recreation Department; light music can be accommodated during ceremonies out of consideration for nearby residences.

Inside, the walls and beams are adorned with georgette chiffon, softly lit with tiny hidden white lights, giving you a magical feel. Its two-story design, which includes enormous front windows facing the Pacific, allows the restaurant to be flooded with natural light and space. Right on the beach, you can exchange your wedding vows. As you make your way down the velon aisle, a gentle breeze lifts your veil a little. Sailing boats meander across the horizon, and the sound of the waves blends harmoniously with your accompanist's music to create an even more lovely environment.
