Charlie Bird is a fun neighborhood restaurant located in Soho, NYC and offering an Italian-inspired, American-executed menu developed by Chef Ryan Hardy. Theo Lieberman oversees the wine program, a list featuring an exceptional selection of vintages and delicious wines. Charlie Bird is rooted in all things New York - from the brick and mortar walls that date back to 1880, to a kitchen that only sources local ingredients for the menu, to the hip hop-inspired art that covers the walls. The menu reflects Chef and Co-owner Ryan Hardy’s thoughtful interpretation of what he describes as a nod to Italian cuisine, influenced by his passion for making cheese, curing meats, digging for clams, diving for urchin, farming produce and crafting handmade pasta. Co-owner Robert Bohr and Wine Director Grant Reynolds developed the wine list, which offers a small but compelling array of bottles. The 60-seat space is decidedly NY, manifesting an understated modern aesthetic designed to offer amazing food in an ambiance that is both sophisticated and approachable. The Private Dining Room at Charlie Bird can accommodate up to 14 diners, providing New Yorkers renting this venue with something that they rarely get: isolation. Tucked away, the private dining room includes a handcrafted, custom-built walnut table and bespoke chairs made of vintage fabric. Exposed brick walls, clean wood lines and beautiful lighting fixtures compliment the aesthetics of the main dining room. While the menu format is family-style, the private dining experience at Charlie Bird is entirely customizable; guests collaborate with Hospitality Emcee Martin Gobbée and a Wine Team member to craft the perfect evening that best fits their occasion. It is a rare surviving example of the numerous social halls constructed in the nineteenth century for the immigrant and ethnic communities of New York City. Over the course of more than a century, the Bohemian National Hall (Czech National Hall, also known as the Czech National Hall) has served as an important center for Czech and Slovak culture in New York City. For more than a decade, it has served as a focal point for its community, providing ethnic food, Czech language and history classes, and space for its large community to gather and hold various events. The Czech Republic acquired ownership of the Bohemian National Hall in 2001 when the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association (BBLA) transferred ownership to the government of the Czech Republic. In order to emphasize the building's ties to the Czech Republic, it is now housed in the same building as the Consulate General and the Czech Cultural Center. 212 Steakhouse is proud to be the first and only Japanese Kobe Beef Marketing & Distribution Promotion Association member in New York, making us the only restaurant on the East Coast serving authentic Japanese Kobe Beef. Kobe beef is a delicate, dignified sweet lean meat that is complemented by the taste and aroma of melt-in-your-mouth fat. Its so-called "shimofuri" fat marbling is the key to its delectability. At low temperatures, the "sashi" fatty component of the flesh itself begins to melt. It will virtually melt in your mouth as a result of this. Its exceptional flavor is due to an abundance of irosinie and oleic acids, which have been scientifically proven. Our location, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, offers elegance and comfort in a charming setting for a memorable wedding or a variety of events. Our professional top-of-the-line team and chefs painstakingly construct every element to suit your style and budget in order to create a memorable event. Strand Book Store

828 Broadway, New York, NY 10003, USA
    • Spaces for 100-200 Guests
    • 1 Event Space

The Strand's Rare Book Room is a perfect venue for weddings, celebrations, and private events. Spend your special evening surrounded by rare and antique books curated by Strand's resident experts. The Strand was established in 1927 on Fourth Avenue, in the heart of what was then known as "Book Row." Book Row was a six-block stretch of land that housed forty-eight independent bookstores. Ben Bass, the father, was only twenty-five years old when he started his modest used bookstore in his hometown of St. Louis. Entrepreneur at heart and voracious reader by nature, this erudite gentleman began with $300 dollars of his own money and another $300 dollars in borrowed funds from a friend. Ben wished to create a space where books would be cherished and book lovers could congregate in a welcoming environment. After the London street where avant-garde writers such as Thackeray, Dickens, and Mill once congregated as well as interesting book publishers, he named his bookstore after the same street. The Strand quickly established itself as a Greenwich Village institution, where writers gathered to converse, sell their books, and hunt for a hidden treasure to purchase and keep for themselves. Today, the Strand is the only remaining structure from Book Row's illustrious past. Ben's son, Fred, was already learning the ropes of the family business at the age of thirteen. He, too, was a book enthusiast who quickly entered the book trade. After serving his country in the Armed Forces, Fred returned home to New York, where he continued to work alongside his father in the family business. By 1957, Fred had relocated the store to its current location at 12th Street and Broadway, which is just around the corner. Eventually, Fred found himself spending the majority of his time at the purchasing desk, cultivating relationships with regulars and on the lookout for the next great find... In the following generation, Fred's daughter, Nancy, joined her father in the family business. When she finished college and spent a brief period in Louisiana, she returned to her hometown and joined the Strand team at the age of twenty-five. Today, she manages the store and feels privileged to be able to carry on her family's 90-year tradition. It's still up in the air whether one, two, or all three of Nancy's children will be the next in line to join the Strand organization.
