Following the events of the previous week, it is almost certain that many more people are now aware of it. It was certainly enjoyable for me!

Whether you're planning an intimate sit-down dinner for two or an outdoor celebration for 150 of your closest family and friends, the Asa Waters Mansion will provide exceptional intimacy and elegance for your special occasion. We have a number of different options for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to choose from. During your ceremony on the estate's beautiful grounds, you can exchange vows with one another on our bandstand, under our stately trees, or under our gracious columned portico, all in the style of the nineteenth century. Alternatively, you could have your service inside the Mansion, surrounded by splendor. Cocktails: Spend a beautiful day outside on the lawn, porches, or bandstand, or step inside to take in the splendor of the estate's period architecture and decor, which is available for purchase. A formal sit-down dinner or buffet for approximately 85 guests can be held in the Mansion to keep your celebration small and intimate. For guest lists of up to 100 people, we encourage you to invite your family and friends to experience the elegance of a "station" dinner. Make the most of everything the estate has to offer by considering renting a tent for a gathering of 100-150 guests. This will allow you to combine the elegance of the manor with the pastoral charm of an outdoor event. Roseland Cottage is a National Historic Landmark in Woodstock, Connecticut, managed by Historic New England. Built in 1846 for New York merchant and publisher Henry Bowen, the Gothic Revival estate is instantly recognizable by its bright pink board-and-batten exterior, steep gabled rooflines, and ornamental bargeboards — considered one of the best-preserved examples of the style in the country. The grounds reflect the same Victorian ambition as the house itself. A boxwood parterre garden, designed in the 1850s, contains 21 flowerbeds with more than 4,000 annuals. The carriage barn shelters the oldest surviving indoor bowling alley in the nation, a reminder that Bowen used Roseland Cottage to entertain on a grand scale — four U.S. presidents among them. From May through October, the Carriage House and south lawn are available for private events including weddings, corporate gatherings, and celebrations. The rental includes kitchen facilities, tables and chairs, and two accessible restrooms, all set against grounds that have hosted guests since the age of Ulysses S. Grant.

Mullins Memorial Center is a 10,500-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, situated on Commonwealth Avenue at the western edge of campus with views of the Hadley Hills and Holyoke Range. Mullins of Ludlow, who first envisioned a major arena for UMass in 1985 and passed away in 1986 before its completion.
