The distinctive environment of Lynfred Winery is ideal for your next private event, wedding, or business conference. From a simple evening of wine and cheese pairings to formal soirees served on exquisite Italian porcelain, we offer a variety of beautiful, exclusive wine-themed experiences. Whatever your requirements, we will work with you to create a unique event that will delight both you and your guests. All group activities hosted at Lynfred Winery are open to attendees who are 21 years of age or older. Most events require a minimum of twelve guests. Depending on the occasion, the maximum number of visitors ranges from 20 to 60. Private activities are held seven days a week, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., from January to September. Due to production and other scheduled activities, availability may be limited. In the mid-1970s, Lynn and Fred bought the Fenz Home, a one-acre property near the intersection of Roselle and Irving Park roads in Roselle, Illinois, which had already been historically significant: it had been inhabited by Colonel Roselle Hough, after whom the city is named. The Hattendorf family erected the structure in 1912, and Fred and Lynn rebuilt it, keeping the original detail and modifying it to serve the winemaking operation. Fortunately, the more than 18-inch thick cellar walls provide optimum temperature control for aging wines. Lynfred Winery, founded by Fred and Lynn in 1979, produces 5,000 gallons of wine in seven varieties. Lynfred has held true to its promise of producing exceptional wines over the years. Fred began construction on a 24,000 square foot state-of-the-art winemaking facility in 1990. While Lynn and Fred have both passed, their "small winery" rose to prominence in the winemaking world, and they left a dedicated team to lead Lynfred Winery into the future.

The Merrick Rose Garden features hundreds of beautiful rose bushes, as well as the historic Fountain Square Centennial Fountain. The Garden is located at Lake Street and Oak Avenue, one block east of Ridge Avenue. In 2003, new garden lighting and irrigation systems were installed and the retaining walls were reconstructed. The Merrick Rose Garden is a popular location for small weddings or special occasions, as well as for wedding photographs.

Linden Ballroom, with its Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired design, 14-foot-high ceilings, and wide windows overlooking our verdant golf course, offers a feeling of delicate, elegant elegance to every celebration. The Pavilion, which boasts a magnificent white-draped interior with arched ceilings and five shimmering chandeliers, provides a timeless romantic setting with commanding views of our lush, manicured gardens. During the months of April through October, this permanent tent structure is also equipped with heating and air conditioning.

THE LOFT The Loft of The Barn Steakhouse, positioned upstairs and overlooking the stylish modernism of the Main Room, has a classic steakhouse ambiance. The Loft is a secluded space with deep red, round, tufted booths, a barely visible historic mural, and The Barn Steakhouse's signature service.
