Ravinia stands today as its most musically diverse, presenting over 140 different events throughout the summer. These concerts run the gamut from Yo-Yo Ma to John Legend to the annual summer residency of the nation's finest orchestra, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Bobby, a wine connoisseur, is in charge of dining room service and the wine program at Café Lucci. His experience in restaurants dates back to 1985 when he worked at Ristorante Agostino. Augie, also known as “The Mad Chef”, is a self-taught chef who joined Bobby at Ristorante Agostino in 1986. His cooking style can be characterized as Italian eclectic, with a wonderful variety of dishes from many regions of Italy. Throughout his travels, he has also infused pan-mediterranean, American, and French influences into his menu. Café Lucci’s beautiful banquet room accommodates groups of 30 to 60, providing an ideal setting for intimate luncheons, elegant evening entertaining or business functions. We feel that street food is the gastronomic essence of a city's culture here at Gadabout. Rolf and Meagan Pedersen, who run the restaurant, draw inspiration from all over the world to make upgraded, non-traditional street food. The essence of our cuisine, which reflects a careful convergence of cultures, a celebration of Chicago's rich diversity, and a sense of approachable adventure, is the word "gadabout," which means a regular, pleasure-seeking global traveler. Through the use of robust flavors and local products, our food attempts to generate a sense of lighthearted nostalgia. The cocktail menu features small-batch spirits in vivid drinks, as well as a variety of vintage sodas.
