  The Venue at Grant Hill Farms is the ideal location for your wedding or celebration, nestled among 88 acres of tranquil farmland. From start to finish, we pride ourselves on being very hands-on with each event. Everyone has a particular vision for their wedding day, and it is our honest wish to assist each couple in making their vision a magical reality. Our farm is only 12 miles from I-85 and the Tanger Outlet Center in Commerce, as well as 16 miles from downtown Athens. Our 8,000 square foot climate-controlled main building features a spacious bridal suite with make-up counters and private restroom, a groom's suite, a prep kitchen for caterers to warm and plate food, an open concept banquet hall that can accommodate up to 225 guests for a sit-down dinner with plenty of room for your dance floor and DJ, a grand indoor and outdoor stone fireplace, and a cover charge.   A uniform and linen factory transformed into a spacious event space. Since 1994, we have operated as a family-owned company. I grew up with my parents who owned and ran a uniform and linen firm that is still in business now. When they launched a linen rental business in downtown Chamblee in 2001, they catered to some of the most elite clientele in the greater Atlanta region. From Turner Field to Bacchanalia, we learnt all about the ins and outs of being gracious in the hospitality business. In 2016, we sold the company, and in 2017, we renamed the space Factory Atlanta to reflect the new ownership. Ideally, we would like to collaborate with people who have a clear picture in mind for their project, their special day, or their milestone event. The Showroom is 2400 square feet and can accommodate events of up to 100 people. The glass garage door provides views of the spectacular railroad lines in the back and has enough space to accommodate a truck or a car. A lasting impression on your guests will be created by the Showroom. The Factory Floor provides you with 5600 square feet of creative flexibility.   In 1836, Judge John Harris erected the residence as his townhouse. He possessed a huge property in Covington that was robbed by federal troops in 1864 when Sherman's march to the sea got underway. Sherman and Harris kept journals detailing their thirty-day stay at the Harris Plantation, which may be found at the Atlanta History Center. Following the Civil War with the property changing hands, Robert Franklin Wright purchased the property for $1,000. The Cedars is the name Robert and Salina gave to their home. This former Catholic Church, which was built in 1898, is distinguished by its Romanesque Revival architecture, fifteen distinct brick styles, imported stained glass windows, and intricately carved Italian marble. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1988. Sacred Heart, which has been transformed into a cultural center, is the ideal location for your special event. • 7000 square feet in total, including the Great Hall There are 500 standing room only seats for 600 theatre style and 240 banquet style. The room is 100 feet long from back doors to stage steps and 60 feet wide. The room can accommodate 500 people for a reception and 600 people for a theatre style seating. Restrooms and a raised stage area measuring 33 x 19 feet Men's and women's restrooms are located on the first floor. Handicapped restroom facilities are located in the west round room off the Great Hall. Cooking facilities are available in a caterer's kitchen off the Great Hall, which includes the following equipment: gas stove with double ovens, triple sink, double door refrigerator with ice maker (capacity 400lbs), and warming oven. Parking Facilities • There are approximately 190 visitor parking spaces at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center, which are located in the lot across the street and to the left of the building and grounds. • There are an additional 100 parking spaces in the surrounding neighborhood.   Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum occupies the historic William Scarbrough House, a landmark antebellum mansion built in 1819 for one of the principal investors behind the first steam-powered transatlantic crossing. Located in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, the museum houses a collection of ship models, paintings, and maritime antiques from the great era of Atlantic trade in the 18th and 19th centuries. The surrounding gardens — the Scarbrough Garden, the 19th Century Parlor Garden, the vine-covered Pergola, and the Maple Grove of 24 Trident Maple trees — form the centerpiece of private events. Together with a covered North Garden Assembly Room and a brick terrace beneath a copper-roofed pavilion, the property accommodates weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations.
