Among our expansive green fields is a freshly constructed, 7,500 square-foot barn with an ancient, farmhouse ambiance and modern conveniences, which is located on our property. Every element has been meticulously prepared to ensure that your special day is one-of-a-kind, including leaded glass from the 1800s and hand-crafted doors. The result is a wedding that is unlike any other. We will be glad to host your wedding and ensure that it is a day that you will remember forever! Martha, David's mother, was born and raised on FM 441, on the Smaistrla estate. Her parents eventually left her land, which she eventually inherited. She and her husband, Al Kutac, bought a camp house and liked entertaining family and friends. This was dubbed "Kutac's Camp House." David married Donna Hrncir, who was never permitted to attend a Kutac party because her mother thought the Kutac lad was too wild! David and Donna built a house on the property's rear half, and their five children loved building trails and playing in the woods. All five children have agreed to assist in the construction and/or operation of The Rustic Chandelier. The Rustic Chandelier is huge enough for a major wedding but small enough for smaller gatherings like family reunions, dinner parties, birthday parties, class reunions, corporate events and retreats, and more. In El Campo, Texas, The Rustic Chandelier is a lovely banquet hall wedding venue. This family-run business offers natural beauty, beautiful event venues, and a variety of services to complement events performed here. For exclusive access to our venue and lodging, book one day or the entire weekend. We presently have on-site lodging for 14 people, with additional lodging for 18 people available 10 minutes away. The construction of ten on-site cabins is scheduled for late 2021 and 2022. 6,000 square feet of room for up to 250 guests in a rustic, elegant barn location great for your wedding. High beamed ceilings with exquisite yet rustic lighting will be featured in this temperature-controlled arena. With simple gray shiplap and rustic elements, the interior will be gorgeous. The Groomsmen and the Bridal Party each have dressing rooms in the front of the venue, with the Bridal dressing room having direct access to the Ladies Restroom. View the lighted patio space, outdoor entertaining area, grazing Longhorns, and the Lighted Pavillion and Fountain via the wall of windows. Outdoor ceremonies can be held at the Lighted Pavillion. Now owned by Dr. Daniel and Anna Lisa Tamez, the estate has been restored to its original 10-acre core and continues its family history of hosting the community. At the heart of the property is the original open-air chapel, an intimate space with a stained-glass window backdrop, bench seating, and a sound system with lapel microphone. Nearby, the Modern Farmhouse Covered Pavilion pairs handmade farm tables and chairs with chandeliers and string lighting, a bar and cocktail area, a concert stage with outlets for a DJ or band, and a fire pit overlooking the grounds. After an extensive renovation, the family-owned venue opened for events in 2014, and its 38-foot wooden gambrel roof, original cathedral-like ceilings, and large stone walls remain from the historic structure. Six crystal chandeliers, rafter uplighting, and Edison bulb globe lighting illuminate the barn wood and white limestone interior, while custom white draping can divide the more than 4,200 square feet of indoor space into smaller areas. Brodie Homestead hosts weddings, corporate events, holiday celebrations, and non-profit fundraisers, accommodating up to 350 guests standing or 250 seated for a reception, with rentals including exclusive use of the space for 10 hours, two private loft changing suites, a catering prep kitchen, and a stone wall hook system for hanging greenery and florals. Outdoor walkways surround the building, and nearby green space is available for portraits and ceremony photography. The Ranch is around 3 miles south of Palestine's historic district (approx. 2 hours from Dallas or Houston). You'll see "rural landscaping" as soon as you drive onto the property. The front road is lined with peach bushes, wild grape vines, and our "small piggy pen." You'll see ancient "garden beds" loaded with veggies, The Model-T surrounded by flowers, rustic tractors, farm implements, and unique décor as you go around the site. Cast a line in the spring-fed lake, exchange vows or host an event in our 1927 Chapel, or simply relax in the front porch chair and take in the beauty of nature. Fields and woodlands, meadows and gardens, and original turn-of-the-century buildings make up our lovely 23-acre estate.
