A Brief History of the Rose Chapel and Southside Preservation Hall The former Central Methodist Church, built in 1911 at 1519 Lipscomb St., was formerly the spiritual home of many notable Fort Worth families around the turn of the century. The building has been threatened with demolition multiple times since the congregation relocated in 1969. The Panther Boys Club, a civic organization, purchased the facility in 1972 and transformed the church facilities into a gymnasium, boxing ring, and adolescent dance area. The chapel was not in use at the time. The property was then spared from demolition by the Southside Preservation Association, which was founded in 1996 by a determined group of preservationists. The Association, which is run entirely by volunteers and is a non profit organization, works to repair the facility's buildings and grounds, winning multiple community honors in the process. The magnificent, restored Rose Chapel, named after the Flower of Love, is always booked. The Southside Preservation Hall's adjoining rooms accommodate a diverse range of events, from corporate parties and wedding receptions to dances, classes, and performances that reflect the metroplex's diversity. The ranch was purchased in 2014, and the owners first totally restored the white ranch home before building the three-story barn in 2015. The RoseMary Barn was then renovated from a dilapidated 1970s pole barn at the property's back to the lovely white venue it is today. The RoseMary Barn takes its name from the proprietor's mother. The RoseMary Barn is a stunning all-white event and wedding location located about 5 miles from Historic Downtown Mckinney and hotels. White shiplap is used to build the inside walls and ceilings. The venue features a large bridal suite with h/m stations, cable tv+mini fridge, a masculine grooms cabin with cable tv/hook ups for a gaming center+mini fridge, a large outdoor ceremony space shaded by mature trees, a large covered porch for cocktail hour, a bar kitchen for the bartenders, a large catering prep kitchen, and a 40x32 covered pavilion that can be used for a wedding reception. We have a generator in case of power shortages, and we are Uber-friendly, allowing cars to stay overnight if Uber service is required. For our booked wedding groups and/or families, we have on-site over night accommodations in addition to the venue. This two-story barndominium has a cool modern feel to it. It includes a white shiplap kitchen with open cabinetry, gold lights, and a beautiful modern farmhouse vibe. It features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living areas. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds. The master bedroom has a king bed with a private bath, bedroom #2 has a queen bed, bedroom #3 has two queen beds, and bedroom #4 has two queen beds. It is a little over 2000 square feet and can sleep up to 12 people. Our three-story barn has it on the second and third floors.

Scarbrough Haven is equal parts meadow, woodlands, walking trails, lakefront, nature preserve, and total mesmerization. It is genuinely a spiritual haven. The exclusive and secluded estate venue, which has been family-owned since 2007, is located 75 miles east of Dallas in Emory, TX. Our northeast Texas location spans over 800 acres and is divided into six unique parcels. A total of 65 acres are available for events ranging from small gatherings to huge gatherings. The Aurora at Scarbrough Haven event venue, an open-air chapel, a beautiful greenhouse, an art-filled tea room, wooded walking trails, and lakefront access to Lake Fork – one of the best bass fishing lakes in the United States – are just a few of the highlights. THE AURORA AT SCARBROUGH HAVEN This modern construction is based on an 1853 hand-hewn oak barn frame and features hand-crafted embellishments like shou sugi ban cladding and hand-bleached pecan floors. The interior of the building can seat 200 people. THE TEA ROOM AT SCARBROUGH HAVEN For afternoon teas, wedding, bridal, or baby showers, reunions, rehearsal dinners, or offsite work functions, this meeting area easily seats 50 people. The Scarbroughs have acquired art and souvenirs from all over the world to decorate the area. The chapel has a paved floor and can accommodate up to 80 people in a theater-style setting. The Historic Polegreen Church outside of Richmond, Virginia, which “commemorates the battle for civil and religious freedom in Colonial Virginia,” was the inspiration for this structure.

Lillian Farms Country Estate sits on 230 acres of rolling hills in Texas's Bluebonnet Country, on land that was once a cotton plantation, between Houston and Austin near Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park and the towns of Chappell Hill and Brenham. The Estate House combines the architecture of a Victorian-style mansion with modern comforts, offering five traditional bed & breakfast guest rooms, each with a private en suite bath and a full breakfast served every morning in the main dining room. For more privacy, the property's self-catering cottages sit near the edge of its woods; seven have private hot tubs, and all include full kitchens and grills. The grounds include a 14-acre stocked fishing lake with a pier and fountain, fire pits, and a resident population of miniature ponies, donkeys, deer, and other wildlife.
