The hall traces its origins to 1879, when it was built as a flour mill with funds from the Bonanza Gold Mine. Restored to its original purpose as a performance and gathering space, it has become the centerpiece of downtown Sonora, hosting events every weekend of the year. The main hall features a 52-by-31-foot hardwood floor, elegant burgundy velvet draperies, large windows, a full stage with dimmable lights, and a prep kitchen. The space accommodates up to 250 guests banquet-style and up to 410 in theater configuration, making it suitable for weddings, concerts, business expos, art shows, fundraisers, and community gatherings. Rental includes 25 eight-foot tables, 5 six-foot tables, and 200 padded chairs. A handicapped lift provides accessible entry. The hall is managed by the Sonora Chamber of Commerce.

TABLE WITH BAY LAUREL TREE It is possible to have up to 6 guests at the Bay Laurel Tree Table, which is a semi-private al fresco dining experience. The museum has been operated by the San Mateo County Historical Association since 1935 and holds accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums — a distinction held since 1972, placing it among fewer than 5% of accredited museums in the United States. The courthouse offers several distinct rental spaces for weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations. The First Floor Rotunda accommodates up to 200 guests beneath its magnificent domed ceiling, and is well suited for ceremonies, receptions, and dancing. Courtroom A, a magnificently restored courtroom with its own stained glass ceiling, hosts seated dinners of up to 150 guests. The venue also offers a Carriage House with a catering kitchen, a meeting room, and an option to rent the entire courthouse for larger events. There is a grand piano in the Sanctuary, as well as a Letourneau Pipe Organ with approximately 3,000 pipes. We can supply a minister for your ceremony, or you are free to bring your own officiant who is ordained in the Christian tradition. Harmony Hall can hold up to 230 people for a banquet-style supper and has a catering kitchen that you can hire. The Hall is equipped with a sound system, a grand piano, bathrooms, and access to the courtyard. The Courtyard is a beautiful setting for a small wedding, cocktail hour, or outdoor dinner for up to 100 people. The Courtyard, with Japanese maples and blossoming pear trees, the spacious front lawn with the church as a backdrop, and our memorial garden, with a patterned glass wall, a mosaic labyrinth, and native flora, are all beautiful photography sites. For out-of-town visitors, our church offers abundant parking with both accessible parking spots and electric charging stations, and is easily accessible from HWY 101. The First Congregational Church of Palo Alto is an Open and Affirming congregation, which means that we make a public covenant of welcome into our full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Today it operates as the event home of Brutocao Family Vineyards, a four-generation winemaking operation that has farmed Mendocino County land since 1943. The estate offers four distinct event venues spanning indoor and outdoor settings. The Bliss Room is the primary indoor space, accommodating up to 200 seated guests for receptions, corporate events, and private celebrations, and features a built-in bar, catering kitchen, and dedicated dance floor. The historic Schoolhouse Plaza Indoor Venues include the Lions Den and Restaurant and Bar, suited to smaller gatherings of 30 to 80 guests.
